I've seen plenty of posts where people have had only problems with Hags enabled. I have an older system with a I7-7700, 1060 6gb, 32gb ram and a 1tb nvme and I haven't seen any improvements with it enabled so I just keep it disabled. But I also play older games (Actually lately it's only been one game MGS V).

    Edited for spelling

So are we coming to the point that BAR should be disabled in BIOS until we have the VBIOS and compatible driver?

Intel Rebar apparently does not display this issue with Vulkan.

I was confused about the Resizable BAR option. Due to the fact I have no idea why Gigabyte changed the description because this was not listed after Christmas when I downloaded F10a and flashed.

On Z490 Xtreme. F10a = Enable Resizable Base-Address Register (Resizable-BAR) option to enhance GPU performance.

I cannot find it in the BIOS yet they've changed the notes on it within the last week or two.

I'll write here and update my previous post with a bit more clarification.
This happened on a system with RTX 3080, AMD 3900x with x570 motherboard. Different configurations (e.g. Intel) may have different outcomes but if you suddenly have huge performance drop check "Resize BAR" OR "Above 4G Decoding" (which gets enabled automatically with Resize Bar) option in BIOS.

display drivers don't cause sound crackling.

Is your audio sharing an IRQ with something else after the driver update?

Have you tried going back to the previous driver to see if it goes away?

1> Driver updates can't change resource distribution
2> APIC+ systems virtualize all IRQ's above 15 (only first 16 are real physical interrupts)

    Sharing is a non-issue for IRQ 16-255

600MB for driverse... I mean drivers + garbage + bloatware experience and spy plugs.
The size reminds of Instagram app on android which is 750MB after install LOL

    Typical Ubisoft.
Watch Dogs L and AC: Walmart Vikings are worse than CP2077.

Funny is the fact that in every patch notes they state: "Improved performance and stability" LOL

Jus did a DPC Latency check while playing Red Dead 2

Some device drivers on this machine behave bad and will probably cause drop-outs in real-time audio and/or video streams. To isolate the misbehaving driver use Device Manager and disable/re-enable various devices, one at a time. Try network and W-LAN adapters, modems, internal sound devices, USB host controllers, etc.

reseat your hardware, drivers don't cause 3k spikes, pcie error rates do.
