I currently have a gigabyte 2070 super Oced. I upgraded from a msi 144hz 1080p monitor to a new viewsonic 165 hz (oc 170hz) 1440p monitor. Should I upgrade to a 30xx gpu or wait? If upgrade now 3060 or 3070.
I would NOT upgrade to anything less than 3080. +50% is equivalent of moving few sliders down a notch.
I also have a 2070S and 144Hz 1440p monitor. I just don't see the need right now, especially at the very high pricing due to scarce supply. It's up to you and the 2070S is still a good gpu, just don't expect high frame rates with RTX on.
2070's sell good. Depends what price you sell it for and when. ''Dollar per shader core''' you get more when buying 30xx. It starts to be a tough question. They should open economy by march and maybe then you can actually get one and I dont think they will buy 30xx, they are stacked with ''calculator cards 16xx and 20xx''', people have literally dried it so it might be good prices later in year. https://overclock3d.net/news/misc_h...urope_shipping_costs_see_dramatic_increases/1 Really depends, I dont think any good game needs more than 2070's , but you get a lot more out of GPU when going for 30xx, for prices they were intended to sell for. if you play games, better not to get rid of. Or sell it for a crazy price for ''buy it now'' if you dont play games as often, its instant sell.
Thanks guys. After looking at that chart from C. malkin I think I may wait. I was not going to get rid of the 2070, I thought about my EVGA 1070. Just off hand where do you guys sell GPUs?
I sold mine on ebay for £310. Fees 30. Postage was about 5. edit: I started 7 days long auction from £1, scheduled it to end on Thursday or Friday 20:00pm. and I bumped up the price a bit myself at middle of week.
