Wasnt that long ago when the same thing happened. Back in 2017-18, no pascal cards from 1070 to 1080ti. All OOS and what few remained outrageously priced. Our only hope may be that the coin market crashes and all the miners dump their 3080s at less than MSRP on ebay.

Yeah it's terrible, as if it wasn't insanely hard enough to begin with, now it's literally impossible to get one (at least where I live). I was lucky back then as I bought the 1080Ti on launch day, so a few months before the crypto craze. Now though? RIP. Also, I for one would not want to buy a (mining) used GPU...
Thx for the share but the program keeps opening up with default gui settings ??? edit ps the layout looks nice And got my first hang of my system for ages with the software open and running wonderfull welcome to the world of beta testing
I played around with it since configuring things was different from GPU Tweak II. I did have some funny app occurences but reinstalling seemed to resolve that. I'm using User Mode and selected the clocks, voltage, power targets initially and saved to a new Profile. My saved profile does come up correctly when Windows is restarted. Yeah, it is beta so welcome to the guinea pig club!
It's unfortunate that Nvidia launched these cards without more VRAM -- it's pretty much the one "flaw" of the lineup seems to me. Meanwhile, the 6000 series GPUs from AMD have more VRAM but noticeably worse RT performance and no DLSS access. Especially since (hopefully) Intel 10 nm desktop parts are coming soon and Zen 4 too and DDR5 RAM to boot, for me I'm not planning to upgrade until cards have more VRAM (though my current PC is no slouch just yet). The rumored 3080 Ti supposedly has double the VRAM. I wonder if you could cut down the VRAM cost of Cyberpunk 2077 @ native 1440p by using medium textures/a combination of medium-ish settings VS Ultra/High. If you have an RTX card then DLSS should save on VRAM I'd think since you'd be rendering the game internally at a lower value. DLSS seems pretty great, but at 1440p, I find anything lower than "Quality" looks obviously worse than native seems to me. Pretty much when you go sub 900p for the reconstruction just turns to mush -- better mush than it would be ofc but still mush of a sort. I know that "some" games will actually dynamically allocate VRAM up to the available VRAM but not more -- for example Battlefield V had such a setting where it would try to not use more VRAM than what was available. I wish more games would make such a setting visible/tell you if that's what they're doing though and way way more games should have overlays built in like Overwatch that let you view VRAM usage in real time without having to use a third party tool like MSI Afterburner. Drives me nuts.
Very, Very, Very good. Going down to the nitty gritty of everything, Absolute Love it, Can't get enough of it, Thanks alot for sharing.
RTX cards are still the go to cards for pro-creators. Hopefully this will not spark additional demand for gaming cards.
