You guys are lucky to have at least gotten some cards. I was itching for a 3070 myself, but all are out of stock and have been for the past months...

do you think it's a good idea to go from a 2080super to a 3070 or should i aim higher?

I`ll let you know Monday evening when my 3070 xtrio arrives and i have it installed :), it does all depend on your target res/fps though, I`m currently running the division 2 @4k on a mixture of high/ultra settings im locked at 60fps/hz but dips down to 41-45 on 4k maxed ultra although it still looks pretty smooth.....i`ll be happy with 60 @4k maxed ultra.

Also....im a baker on minimum wage with rent and other bills to pay so makes no sense to spend silly money on a card that's way more than i need and only gets used for an a hour or so each day gaming.

Got a really pleasant surprise this morning while i s was fitting a new leather seat to my sim rig...... an email from DPD.......your parcel from Scan will be delivered today, it arrived 15 mins before the suggested time slot.

    Tested a few games.
The Division2 @ 4k ultra AA low vsync off = mid 60-mid 70s with occasional dip to high 50s.
Death stranding @ 4k highest settings = mid 80s-mid 90s with occasional dip in to high 70s.
Horizon zerodawn @ 4k max settings benchmark game avg 59...lows 24 max 104.
Farcry 5 @4 max setting gave mid 80s.

Was it worth upgrading from my Msi 2080s ventus xc.....

    I paid £539=11 pp.......yes
I can still get a good price for my 2080s......yes
    For the extra 10-25 fps......yes

If the msrp had been £600+........not quite.

I am able to max detail at 4k and still get a few extra fps although i usually run with vsync 60hz on my 4k screen which was my target so happy days.

jus playing around with overclocking, managed to hit +1150 mem,+110 core, boost clock goes up to 2100 pretty good and stable, temps are under 55c and its warmer today, this is the coldest room in the house, once the sun goes down im sure the temps will go even further down

I think the 3070s are pretty good overclockers: they seem to have an inherently low temperature at lower wattages. I've found that I get good results from pushing up power limits, mem and core, without needing to push up voltages. The next-best impact is in improving memory latency and read/write speeds. I also found I had to run performance tests every time I changed anything: some 'increased' settings resulted in decreased performance. Fun, isn't it! I think a lot of people will be happy with the performance increases they see with this new generation of hardware.

I think the asus tuf 3070 is the coolest card I ever owned and I have it in a case with no fans the nzxt H1. I havent seen over 65c in any game yet after a couple hours. I dont remember having a card that ran under 75c in games and believe me ive owned them all.

MSI SUPRIM is totally new one, a flagship. The biggest graphic card in the world (reviews say this).

And also reviews say that is the most cooler in temperatures.

You may have tried other models, but not this particular model.

You have max 65ºC in games, I dont see anything above 60ºC on the Suprim, so there is the diference.
And you have to think that out of the box Suprim model got 1905 Clock MHz, the TUF one 1845 MHz, So is suppose to run a little warmer the Suprim model

Decided to go for something different instead of the usual Gigabyte(worst software ever), MSI etc. Went with the KFA2 GeForce RTX 3070 SG so far so good would have preferred a 3080 as only upgraded from a RTX 2080s.
