I'm talking about the latest stable and hotfix driver. Anyone knows an other way to disable Ansel? Or even to circumvent the error? And yes, I use NVSlimmer in order to get rid of all the bloat. Does Profile Inspector need update or something?

    Thank you in advance!

I am having same problem as well on 465.21. Probably doesn't have nvcamera app as he uses nvcleaninstall or similar app as do I. I get rude of Geforce exp and all the other bloatware and telemetry just leave drivers and always turn off ansel with inspector as well. Just letting yoy know it is not just yoy having that issue.

Ok, thanks. So either Profile Inspector needs update or when I install drivers within Slimmer should I tick one more box "nvcamera" in order to disable it? We got these two options?

I'm willing to give it a go the nvcamera if it does the job, unless in order to get it you need to install the entire Geforce package; then, no. No matter how I hate overlays when I play my games in Fullscreen mode.

Can you please elaborate? Do I go in NVDIA control panel and for each game somehow I get the option to disable ANSEL? Because I've never seen it...

Also, as I said, don't forget I install the bare minimum from Nvidia's drivers. Perhaps that's why I can't see it?

By the way, I just re-download the latest hotfix drivers to check what is all about nvcamera.

P.S. Well, in Slimmer nowhere says nvcamera. I guess it's a component of another component.

Edit: I would assume that NVslimmer needs an update.
    NVCleaninstall is an alternative app

The NV camera app had the option to disable grayed out for me, the Nv camera config is not there any more, had to use a script i found on reddit to disable ansel, as with any script i opened it up just to check nothing bad in there

NVCameraConfiguration does not seem to be included with the latest drivers, and the standalone NvCameraConfiguration from Nvidia no longer works either.

Can confirm that app works. Never knew about it, shame they block us from making the change to global now though. I prefer doing all my driver business in NPI.

I grabbed the old NvCameraConfiguration.exe from the previous driver and stuck it in the latest "Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_[NumberHere]\NvCamera\" folder, ran it and disabled Ansel. I've yet to try if it works in games, but I have no reason to think otherwise.

    Edit sorry for the necro.

No need for the old file, use NvCameraEnable with the off switch.
    Code:
    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_af191495570c6c08\NvCamera\NvCameraEnable.exe off

Another way that works is finding the install package in the DriverStore and simply nuke the whole NvCamera folder.

Do you need to put a hyphen before off or no?

    No hyphen, just a space.
