My biggest issue with the patch notes is them removing the usage of AVX - is gonna seriously decrease cpu performance, and who the hell tries to play this game on a cpu that doesn't support avx?! It would be more than 10 years old and not living up to CPDR's own minimum requirements in the first place...
Thanks for the tip! Wasnt expecting much, but DLSS quality + sharpening 0.80 works great at 4k. Bumped up fps from 30s to 50s! Settings used:
I noticed this about breast size aswell... i had choosen big breasts for my nomad, and gonna wear a thingie where most of the breasts showed... as soon as i put it on, the breasts became small... lol.
As far as i understand, it can if you enable it with hexeditor, but yeah that cpu is 10 years old now... how many actually expects 10 year old hardware to hold up in the newest most demanding title? Honestly if it could improve performance, i wouldn't at all mind drawing a line with dropping support entirely for non-avx cpu's. Again, it's an ancient tech at this point.
I'm one of the biggest CD Projekt fanboys, but even I gotta admit this game is average at best. I mean there is some really good story telling, but it's not the game to end all games by far. Let's face it, CD Projekt Red really ****** this launch up big time. It's sad to see, it hurts me.
You're not understanding, thats the problem. all the hex patching does is forces the check for avx capabilities to always return true instead of actually checking for the instruction, in a game or utility that actually used AVX for anything this would require modifications throughout the rest of the file as a cpu that doesn't have avx capabilities cant perform any avx instructions and would require inline code modification to redirect to implementation compatible sse4 instructions. The game doesn't use AVX though, it uses SSE4.1, but had an erroneus AVX register check implemented that caused the crashes.

I don't play on console, but for the millions expecting a good game this kinda sums it up. I don't think CD Projekt Red is gonna recover from this.
Fair enough, i stand corrected. But in that case, it could have helped quite significantly with the horrendous cpu performance on the toaster consoles, if it had been coded for avx - cause the jaguar cores does support avx.
