Nice, Quake 2 RTX ready with support for some new Vulkan extensions for the latest update for that title and a update on the latest known issues though no additional listed fixes listed over 460.79 at least in the PDF could still have other undocumented changes. :)

EDIT: From the PDF it's these bits.

shouldn't be any changes from 460.79 where newly added issues are concerned, there hasn't been enough time to put any changes through QA.

    no fixed issues list.

little offtopic ... Good to know that Quake II RTX support Vulkan RT, unfortunately it's crashing on AMD cards

Here was me thinking I had faulty display port cables or hardware. Even replaced display port cables trying to find the cause.

They should have fixed it with those drivers... it's a pretty high priority issue.

maybe they should have the installer restart ("start"), because every time I update the drivers, I have to restart ("start") so that my start menu work again.

you don't have to restart, ctrl+shift+esc and kill startmenu experience host.

    Also, still a windows bug.

It has a workaround, so its not high priority, use a lower refresh rate or use max performance.

As far as i'm aware, 144hz is as high as pascal can go before getting flickers at 2d idle clocks, and even 144hz isn't safe from blanking, MDPS turns my screen a solid grey when i let it do its thing and its not specific to this driver.

Did some benches, same as 460.79, no différence at all, they just added the RT feature, no performance gain no bug fixed, and i think this is the last driver for this year.

Here's a little conundrum: In GPU Caps Viewer, I can't find the extension "VK_KHR_ray_tracing_pipeline" with this driver. Quake 2 RTX still runs anyway, but I wonder why the new extensions aren't listed there. Or does GPU Caps Viewer just need an update?

I didnt mean restart the system. I meant ending that process and letting it restart.

    but still annoying thing.

    eh...
I have task manager running all the time............................................

I'd be surprised if there isn't one more driver...

Well now, thought I was one of the few who restarted that container / process because some of the driver updates made it very crash prone (Which restarts it anyway but WER takes forever to log the thing and dump it. :p ) good to know that's a OS specific issue and not AMD and Realtek.
