@ Manuel if its only in this driver and a previous one and not in 457.30 then i highly doubt its hardware related more a software bug ?

Thank you. Similar to the the flicker response I did to another user, I will need more info in order to ask our driver team to look into this:

    Can you share the following?

    1. MSINFO32 file from your PC: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2507/
    2. Dispdiag from your PC connected to the Sony TV as described in the FAQ below: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3468
    3. Capture a kernel memory dmp file right after you get the HDMI OSD appear as described in the FAQ below:
    https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4641
Force the crash as described in the FAQ after you reproduce the HDMI OSD appear.

Guys, if you still have issues with Chrome/Chromium browsers and You Tube, try switching angle to D3D9 or OpenGL, while waiting for fix.

Sharpening still works. I don't have WD but it's the same with Apex Legends. First I set it to Off -> apply and then turn it back on with my custom value. It's still showing as Recommended though (which is probably a bug) but works in-game.
Not sure what all this NVIDIA recommended thing is about. Like, Apex has an ability to drop resolution to keep target FPS value and in theory a sharpening could be dynamically applied when resolution drops, but it's not like control panel sharpening can be changed without restarting the game.
But at the same time I don't think sharpening is applied to the game by default, at least in Apex case I don't see any difference between default Nvidia recommended and Off.
@ManuelG can you please share some details on what's Nvidia recommended sharpening in certain app profiles supposed to do?

Anyone with 1080Ti tested, if your Time Spy GPU score got impacted?

I was using 441.87 before updating to these and i lost 900ish points.

Yes. But if you were previously set on Adaptive and installed over the old one, you get "Custom" as the setting. But cannot select that option individually.

Meaning Normal is an entirely new setting altogether with its own hexidecimal value, could be why some upgraders have crashing issues still because the card is setting a power mode its not meant to be using at this point in time.

That's one of the many reasons why you never install "over" the old driver, you need to completely remove old driver first, using DDU after you have removed all Nvidia Video Driver related items first from control panel.

    no, you generally don't.

    But for branch changes yes.

    You people misuse DDU.
