Disable UEFI in the Bios causes more trouble with SSD Drives IMO, those are just buggy drivers this time...don't turn your system upside down or downside up

I think he meant disable the BAR setting. You'll need a BIOS that has that setting, of course. :)

Sorry I overlooked he mentioned the BAR setting, this could be an option indeed ....

I don't know if it depends on these new drivers, but one day after the installation my system crashed as I was refreshing a screenshots thread full of images, using Firefox. Mouse and keyboard became unresponsive, pc froze, the screen went blank and in the end the system reset automatically. It didn't even create a dump file but in the event log I found an error I have never had, which could also not be strictly related to the GPU, it was called volmgr id 161. Reading around I found out it might also be a hdd/ssd failure, but my ssd is still healthy and working.

Ansel can be toggled just fine.

For me atleast 2080 with 452.06 seems to perform way better than these current new drivers what comes to smoother frames when playing pubg. The difference is very noticeable.

I feel like Apex also runs better with 452.06 than any of the newer drivers.

grab a copy of the windows sdk poolmon.exe and check it for pool leaks, if you see anything over 2-2.5GB's there might be a handle or gdi leak in a driver process again.

I'm having the same issue but it's the opposite it's Vulkan that crashes after getting to the loading screen, well I wouldn't say crashes but a black screen and just have to force close and changed to DX12 manually.

But I was having this same issue with the 457.30 so I don't think it's just this driver or the latest game update as it was happening before the update.

I need to isolate the issue but I haven't had the time.

no i wanna touch that thing i never use and disable..in addition it is not only enable ansel key but there are more keys out there when you touch them give you the same error.. already got back to 457.30.. and i smell dirty moves coming one by one..they removed/remove some of the features SILK Smoothness before or restrict access to something and try to kill nvidia inspector step by step one by one day by day driver by driver...

Found the culprit. It's HAGS. Missed this one on google search because I'm searching for DX9 not D3D9. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...en-using-dsr-with-/?topicPage=2&commentPage=7

Is this an nvidia or a windows 10 problem then? Cause it's still happening on this driver.

good to know, doesn't tell me anything about other vk layers though :p

you can find them in the registry

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Khronos

its not something i've experienced in recent drivers, MSFT did want hags feedback though

I will thank you for the advice.

Yesterday also Watch Dogs Legion crashed when playing at 4k on my tv. To be more precise the nvlddmkm.sys driver crashed. At 1440p no problem. With the previous drivers I have never had such an issue. Since I am downvolting I tried to give the GPU some more mV, maybe this new release pushes the card a bit further, no idea.
