Today I got NVIDIA control panel updated, still a bug I can't choose custom resolution, I had to do it via windows settings.

Funny thing I added this custom resolution using NV control panel and yet I can't choose it

Probably just 457.30 with 3060 Ti support tacked on.

The Bugs in Forza FM7 are fixed for me in 457-30 no crashes or Graphic glitches/flickering/black corps, performance sems to be a bit lower than usually but is OK for me if everything else is fixed.

Sorry for the late report but wanted to be sure

In Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, if I turn OFF Raytracing my game looks like this on my RTX 2070... Enabling it brings all the lighting back and shadows are working, but that affects frame rates :(

    Hmm I can't upload images....

Anyway with Raytracing OFF I have NO lighting and broken shadows, turn it on and the game works again

I upgraded my system from an AMD FX platform to an AMD Ryzen based one. (Ryzen Gen 3 because Gen 4 is none where to be found or it is overpriced)
    It runs so smooth, unbelievable.
All the freezes that I had in DX12 are gone.
But some games still crash with HAGS enabled.
Maybe it is because it is an old GTX 1060 6GB and NVIDIA is focusing on the new Gen cards.
Idk …, but it is still a great card.

    About the DX12 freezes ...
Maybe there is some regression in either WIn10 or NVIDIA drivers that cause the freezes ...
Or/and Microsoft forgot to carry over the Win7 scheduler optimizations for AMD FX to Win10 or whatever ...

i've had no hags crashes with pascal.

Fx processors suffer from degraded IMC as a result of heat and cool cycles, but decay faster when temps go above 65c.

Can you try Diablo 3 with HAGS enabled, pls?

CPU was always kept below < 60c because when going over 60c it became unstable very quickly. The MB (ASUS Crosshair) + PSU (Corsair 750W) also had enough headroom.
Cooler used was noctua nh-d14. (Later noctua nh-d15).
But yes, the CPU was quite old.

And doesn't Ryzen suffer from the same "decaying" problem?
Idk if this entire decaying thing is even real?
Or is this build-in obsolescence, again?

I mean ... in DX11 mode, no freezes, no FPS drop ...
(DX11 gives like 10+ FPS on AMD FX over DX12 but on Ryzen DX12 always gives better performance)
While DX12 should give better FPS because it can spread some workloads across multiple CPUs but those improvements weren't there on AMD FX.
People say the bad DX12 performance is caused because of NVIDIA (and their drivers?) but I'm actually not sure about that ...

Diablo 3 is broken under 19041/19042, the Fmod library version they use has a compatibility issue with it.

Ryzen is rated for 95c Tjmax
Fx was rated for 61c Tjmax Package, 71c Socket.

DX11 is a different beast and has less issues on systems with underlying stability concerns.

    I don't have such problems.
The game runs great with HAGS disabled.
But with HAGS enabled, it occasionally crashes.

Hmm... but the system was 100% stable?
I think something different is going on here...

    I also play WoW.
Blizzard's forum is full of people complaining about freezing issues.(DX12)
I had the same freezes on my old AMD FX system.
On Ryzen everything runs smooth in DX12 mode.

    Update:

Disabling HAGS fixes my crashes. Specifically 887A00005

This is running latest windows 20H2.

Obviously an incompatibility with HAGS and the game.
Who's gonna fix it? Who knows.

I don't have any issues with other games, but I haven't been playing other DX12 titles recently either.
