No PC for £350 will play 2077 anywhere near as well as the £350 PS5. That's why they will buy them.

Your 2080 will play the game better than ps5.

No point really just for someone who already have 2080 or similar im expecting it to play without issues. Its even the recommended card for the game.

Didn't expect to see the PC vs console nonsense here. Naturally, upfront cost of console is lower than PC, but on consoles you get fleeced for everything, paying more for games and paying for internet access, not to mention that most people today require a PC at home so they will end up buying one anyway. Whatever your preference is, you can make a choice and buy what suits you personally better.

On a side note, I don't see the RT as something essential either. Mostly because we already have very nice reflections and occlusion done through more conventional methods which also don't require a massive performance hit.

well i remember The Witcher III had some annoying issues on release, i can't say game-breaking. most major issues fixed after a series of patches.
i also expect CP to release some major story DLC or two. im still not sure if im gonna wait it out and install it next summer, or squeeze w\e i can from my rig, or just buy a 6800 right now. this game is giving me a headache.

Only thing I'm wondering about is this next gen upgrade. PS5 is getting essentially a PS4 version then a free upgrade later, same for Xbox's, correct me if I'm wrong. What is the PC getting? With Witcher3 we all know they did hold back to maintain console parity. Are they doing that again? Will PC get some upgrade later at the same time? What version is the PC getting?

From everything shown, looks like the PC is the version the PS5 and Xbox Series will be based off of. With PS4 and Xbox One being slightly behind PC visually.

    You will need 32gb ram, 4090 30gb and 16cores/32threads to play 4k60.

Same... this latest trend with alot of games having pretty poor texture quality on pc, because the texture master is made for console, is pretty... meh ! Either make the medium texture setting on pc equivalent to console, and then ultra textures proper high quality textures, or give pc the option for higher res texture packs, as was the norm years ago...

But seeing as they made witcher 3 with console parity in mind, using same pretty lacklustre texture quality on all platforms... i wouldn't get my hopes up. And for some reason, i don't think the game will get a massive fanmade texture overhaul the same way witcher 3 did.

Made is actually a bad word, Witcher 3 was originally made for PC and then it got downgrades when they realized it doesn't run on consoles like at all.
But that was visible just by observing and comparing the trailers as they come out when after first two or so each one was progressively looking worse until we hit the release quality.

With Cyberpunk it's exact opposite as i assume in early 2018 they were still targetting last-gens and beyond that point the bar got raised up because they got devkits for next-gens and plans changed, so they could actually brush it up rather than dumb it down to the lowest common denominator.

If the game doesn't hit the ground running by not meeting the expected hype at all, there's no doubt it will have decent community support, given there _is_ a _chance_ that there will be proper mod tools this time around.

Has there been a mention of the game client size?

I sincerely hope the game size is 100GB minimum. 150-200GB better.
UHD assets + extensive world/contents should be no less than 100GB.
