Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.2 Highlights
    Support For

    • Radeon™ RX 6800 Series
    • World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
    Added Vulkan® Support
    • VK_KHR_fragment_shading_rate
      • This extension provides the ability to change the shading rate per fragment. This extension allows for multiple pixels to be shaded via a single fragment shader invocation as opposed to the normal rate of one invocation per pixel.
    Fixed Issues
    • Enabling Record Desktop and Instant Replay may cause hitching or stutter during fullscreen video playback on some system configurations.
    • Custom fan settings may not retain after waking from sleep on Radeon RX 500 series graphics products.
    • Graphical glitching may occur on Radeon RX 500 series graphics products when at idle or at desktop with multiple high refresh rate Radeon FreeSync displays connected.
    • Disabling performance metrics overlay while in game can sometimes cause frame freeze or stuttering.
    • Lower than expected performance may be experienced on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products in Xuan-Yuan Sword VII™.
    • Mouse corruption may be experienced when changing graphics options to Vulkan® API in Serious Sam 4™.
    • Corruption may be visible on some surfaces in Far Cry™ Primal on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products.
    Known Issues
    • Brightness flickering may intermittently occur in some games when Radeon FreeSync is enabled, and the game is set to use borderless fullscreen.
    • Metro Exodus™, Shadow of the Tomb Raider™, Battlefield™ V, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War may experience intermittent application crashes with DirectX® Raytracing enabled.
    • Anisotropic Filtering in Radeon Software graphics settings is not taking effect in DirexctX®9 applications on RDNA graphics products.
    • Crysis™ Remastered may experience corruption on character models on Radeon RX 6800 Series graphics products.
    • World of Warcraft: Shadowlands may fail to launch when DirectX®12 API is selected on Windows®7 system configurations.
    • Some games may experience stuttering when set to borderless fullscreen and an extended display is connected running the Netflix™ windows store application on RDNA graphics products.
    • Radeon recording and streaming features may fail to enable on AMD Radeon HD 7800 series graphics products.
    • Screen space reflections may appear with flickering corruption in Battlefield™ V on RDNA graphics products.
    • Modifying the HDMI Scaling slider may cause FPS to become locked to 30.
    • Performance Metrics Overlay and the Performance Tuning tab incorrectly report higher than expected idle clock speeds on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products. Performance and power consumption are not impacted by this incorrect reporting.
    • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.

and yes clean install blah blah blah

assassins creed valhalla now stutters badly

just gonna roll back until inevitable hotfix comes

There's also a new memory clock state saved into the XML for Wattman but if you did a clean install that'd be applied to the new profile already so probably not that plus the usual on applying the profile twice just to be certain it takes and closing Radeon Settings afterwards since it's stuck on a loop doing some 2 - 5% CPU usage otherwise.

This also includes some USB LED driver for whatever reason and yeah bit of a branch update but I haven't gone through it much yet, Program Files (x86) and the legacy Radeon Settings stuff seems to be gone with this too.

EDIT: Bunch of new driver files too and the removal of two older files.
(AMD MCL something 32 and 64 bit.)

EDIT: Radeon LED and it's device driver.

    EDIT:

Four new OpenGL properties and a bunch of new DAL properties.

OGL ones are just a bunch of strings.

Was about to install these... AMD shouldn't push extra stuff like this.

Guessing should install fine if the USB folder is deleted...

You probably want to ensure the USB filter driver is gone, I'm guessing that's what forced itself when mouse input temporarily stopped.

Hmm but 3.0 itself and USB should be native on Windows 10 and on but I have no idea why AMD is forcing some of these things.

EDIT: Guess this is going to be the new PCI filter driver going forward.

Seems to have installed fine after extracting with 7-Zip and removing both of the USB folders(from Apps and Drivers). Also removed the seemingly new SBDrv folder...

New toggle under SYSTEM: Issue Detection
Description: "if it enabled, Bug Report Tool launched automatically when TDR detected"
The "it" is extra, but this may be useful for some ...possible that this "language issue" might be causing some of the problems with the drivers?

GPU clock settles at 6MHz - the level it was at a while back...
Wattage seems same, so seems purely "cosmetic"

EDIT: Performance Tuning values loaded from Exported file and stuck after a system restart, so...all seems fine here(minus the Custom Video setting only having brightness control...)

Hey Passus, this is due to a mixing of USB Filter drivers that I have actually seen happen in the Phenom/FX days.

You might want to manually deregister and remove these in the registry and reboot before trying to do the update again.

It does the same on another machine too (device descriptor failed)

maybe whatever the gpu driver did to reset my usb devices sent the storage drive over the edge so to speak

it is a few years old now and multiple things written to and deleted from it.

As for my chipset drivers issues i managed to get them installed again and now with 20.11.1 all is well

How do you all get those problems?
-disable automatic driver installation (for me it`s permanent off) and turn off internet-
    1. uninstall amd gpu and chipset driver from the control panel
    2. reboot safemode
    3. Manually del AMD folders on the C drive (root and program files and program data and Users (app data etc))
    4. clean with amdcleanup and DDU
    5. clean windows disc cleanup
    6. reboot
    7. install chipset drv
    8. reboot
    9. install gpu drv
    10. reboot
    b450 and 5700
