Hello, I'm looking for a good HDMI cable. Does anyone have a brand to recommend? I usually go for PremiumCord, but I thought that maybe someone has other to recommend. My monitor is only equipped with HDMI 1.4, but it suffices for my needs (1080p gaming with 4k downsampling). Thanks in advance!
Anything that has really good end connectors. I just replace another 25' from PC to HTR cable due to the ends breaking off from bending pressure of the cable. Although I am still on 1.4, I picked up a Fiber optic HDMI 2.0. Not only are the ends built like a tank, but the cable itself is much thinner, and flexible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZK7DTK3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Do not let them fool you. The fiber, the actual "cable", the optical string within the hull can break if you bend it to much. Nothing helps against that, except following fiber bending rules. You wont be able to spot it straight if the fiber is damaged, as the hull may not be damaged at all. I heard even dropping the cable may break it. Rule of thumb: never bend more than 90 degrees on a length of 50cm.
