much of what u describe was down to the gen 1 mobos from what I hear.

On 400 series boards, even 3200 ram was doable. There are plenty of ~b450/Zen1 rigs running just fine. One of the best bargains ever for longevity.

Does anyone have a link to the 5600 or 5800 review with the 3090 RTX? All of these CPU reviews are running with 2080Ti.

The 5900 and 5950 reviews have 3090 RTX in them.

I want to see if 6-8 cores is "enough" with the right GPU. Theoretically, it should be a yes for 4K with RT ON.

Im using gigabyte aourous elite. It overclock my 3300X way above any review i found. 4550mhz all core and 1900 inf fabric. I belive this board is strong overclocker.

On topic. DID You see how much hidden power they have? Check cs go, world war z, serious sam etc. Benchmarks, lead over Intel is above 20%.
Need more digging in to that.
In another 2-3 years every game will he written for AMD, and problem multithread. Won't we be seeing same difference as we see in those games?

Please don't even remind me Alza, in CZ their backend went haywire for stock allocation for almost an hour.
So My 5900x went from "in stock, delivery next day" to "we are expecting" and because of this almost an hour without allocation confirmation I have no idea how many are in the queue before me, could be dozens or thousands.

Considering how long this market was stagnant - I don't mind paying for these. I recall when I bought the 3930K (Sandy Bridge E) It was $599.

Good to see AMD providing some competition at a reasonable wattage (even if these top end CPUs are not for me money-wise). I'm happy with my 3700x, so I'll wait and see what the future brings for both companies.

This is really good. Looking forward to read the 5800X review.

Just for science , and to show huge potential currently unused in most of games tested !

These CPU's will be retested in 2-3 years and You will see that difference will widen by 10-20% in AMD favor , its obvious.

@ Kapu - Insane to see the CPUs can keep pushing when GPU scales up. No doubt the Ryzen 3 series will be a great investment.

Loving these numbers :) Competition, true competition. For once again. All CPUs sold out as well. So I'm just in holding position for a 5800X untill Asus get around to releasing a supported BIOS for my X470 Prime :)

Intel 10th gen looks like "old" piece of hardware . Its like 2010 vs 2010 . 6 core can obliterate 10 core . There is incredible amount of potential in new ryzens and it needs to be explored more , but im afraid we will have to wait around 2 years until next gen games appear. it is not 1-2% difference right current benchmarks shows , it is much much bigger difference. I could say as much :
    5600X = 10900k. Prove me i'm wrong :)

"Since the processor actually has that 12nm IO chip, which is the same as the X570 chipset, it will also offer 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Superspeed 10 Gbps) ports." - outstanding

I correct myself , 10900k is losing in nearly every game that matters vs 5600X .....

So, Intel woke up in the morning, only to find that AMD has taken the wife and kids - and you can't blame them, just look at the size of those numbers!

    However...the prices concern me greatly.

I'm gonna need help on these prices, gurus - why so high?

Is it that they are trying to get as much money as possible before Intel launch their new chip in the spring that pummels these big numbers?
Is it simply the equilibrium price?

It concerns me - not that I cannot afford it, just...fishy whiff coming from AMD's crouch on the pricing...it feels 'panicky' to me.

Its simple , AMD is premium now , you want fastest you need to pay . Performance per $ AMD is much better still . 5600X beats 10700k and also 10900k , look at those prices.

Same thing as with Zen2. Look at number of cores with 3800X and 3900X vs price. 3900X was simply more cost efficient which did not happen before.
Usually, with more cores, you had to pay exponentially more, not less per core.

Now with +$50 on all parts, difference between 5800X and 5900X remains same, but price per core is even better for 12-core part. So I think it is AMD's strategy to give people cores and choke intel that way.
A lot of people will be sad/angry very soon. People with 4C/8T already have reasons. People with 6C/6T starting to feel it. And people with older 6C/12T are next.
And if you look into time before Zen, 4C/8T was intel's high end. And 6C/12T was gaming Enthusiast elite CPU.

Guys just check this power consumtion... its phenomenal ?
Just looking at sheer power per watt , AMD is in another galaxy or even universe .

Also funny 5600X uses less power than 3300X ( my CPU :) )

5950x being just slightly above (120W) is nice.
After being screwed up by Alza for 3900x, I went down the distribution line and got 5950x thanks to a friend and for almost 5900 price :D
    Delivery on Monday.
It's overkill for me, but won't complain given the price.
