CD Projekt RED Announces Cyberpunk

That would have been a delay until December 2021 then.

 

Only thing I am asking myself is WHY? CD Projejekt Red had already come out and said it had gone gold (if I am not mistaken). Must have been a distribution thing? But digital distribution? Doesn't make any sence.

 

And now all that fuzz and media outcry over that 6 weeks extra crunch was for nothing!

They made it sound like the team decided that because they didnt wamt to disappoint the fans!

Lol. Just lol.

 

WELL as i see it they can make it up to us all and show us even more amazing content in the next NightCity event.

Wow this is a meltdown. The news on the German mag Gamestar is just 2 hours old and already got 434 comments. Normally you'd be lucky to see 50 in a day. xD

 

All these delays are making me wonder about the quality of the final product. It´s starting to look like CDR were too ambitious with the scope of the game and now they are finding out they bite more than they could chew...

Hope i´m wrong but so many delays don´t bode well for the game.

Also, this is one of the reasons why i don´t preorder games.

 

Stock price doesnt look good. Fell back to the niveau of April 2020.

And now I wonder: Isn't AMD's GPU release too now before Cyberpunk's launch? Couldn't it boost their sales too if they suddenly show a fully ray traced cyberpunk running well on a top dog AMD card?

 

I imagine it's solely related to consoles and they got bounced off their certification, can't imagine anything else with similar timeframes.

A further 21 days is nothing at this point, got plenty to play on my backlog. Just hope the game is decent after all this.

A three week delay is nothing if it means a more polished game at launch.

Feel awful saying this but I am kind of glad for the delay as I will be getting a PS5 on 19th November along with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls and Assassin's Creed: Valhalla so those likely would not have got a look in for a couple of months had Cyberpunk 2077 come out on time, especially if The Witcher 3 was anything to go by. I literally did not play anything else for three months!!!

 

Will it release before Star Citizen ?

If CD Projekt Red wait on you to complete RDR2 we're screwed, this campaign never ends.

 

The only positive for me is a selfish one, but I have to admit, it is a positive.

This 3 weeks delay might give us PC gamers looking to buy one of the new generation graphics card a better chance at actually getting one before the game comes out. The RTX 3080 is still Out of Stock everywhere. Heck, some online stores aren't even giving any results anymore when we type the name to look for it. The situation will probably get even worse with the 3070 (demand will be greater due to the lower price, obviously). And I do not actually expect Big Navi's launch to be any better in terms of units availability. That extra 3 weeks delay might change the game a bit, literally speaking. At least I hope so.

However, with this said, at this point the "release" of this game is now a full Meme status, and will forever be remembered for it. We'll still be talking about "remember when Cyberpunk kept getting delayed?" years from now.
