I think it might be something like:

    6900XT beats/equals RTX 3090/24GB
    6800XT beats/equals RTX 3080Ti/20GB
    6800 beats/equals RTX 3080/10GB
    6700XT beats/equals RTX 3070Ti
    6700 beats/equals RTX 3070

If you look at the numbers the cards have ;)

Yeah I think something like that is the most likely. My own speculation:

Navi 21 XTX (6900XT) - trades blows with RTX 3090, and probably will cost more than the 3080 (at MSRP pricing), but much less than the 3090
Navi 21 XT (6800XT) - trades blows with RTX 3080, will be slightly cheaper than that one
Navi 21 XL (6800) - Somewhere halfway between 3080 and 3070, pricing will be betwen 3070 and 3080 (at MSRP pricing)
Navi 22 (6700 XT) - Slightly faster than 3070, somewhat more expensive
    Navi 22 (6700) - Slightly slower than 3070, cheaper

Ray Tracing performance-wise, I think all cards will outperform the 2080Ti, but I wouldn't dare to hope the 6900XT will match 3080-performance in this regard, and if it will, it'll be at a (probably hardly noticeable) loss of image quality

Yeah but that would have to cost 2000€

Doubt that. If rumored specs are true where the 6700 cards end up having 192-bit bus and 40 compute units.

Agree. The 6700 or 6700XT will not be a 3070 competitor. If you look at how Ampere is scaling pretty terrible with the higher Cuda core counts the 3070 should actually be a very solid card with much less performance drop certainly not inline with half the Cuda cores. Due to that scaling issue I think once you hit Nvidia 3070 level and below Nvidia will compete very well. The 6800 should be the 3070 competitor.

6700's are most likely to compete with 3060's later this year.

Seriously, if you're going for a new high end GPU, do something about your monitor first, your eyes will thank you. 4k monitors (even as small as 27") are amazing for work, they really are better quality of life.

RT will run just fine as 1440p60 /4k30 is the actual console target resolution this time around.
We have no idea how Ampere scales until the next generation of games hit at the end of 2021. And no, that won't be Cyberpunk.

Honest question is there announced games out there that would mark the transiton to next gen?
Indeed CP2077 has been developped for years with previous console gen in mind - not quite sure it can be used as reference for what future game requirements wil be 1-2 years from now.

My screen is definitely better than 1440p IPS screens under $1000.
While TN, it does not shift/invert color as you look from below/above way most TN screens do. Flawless 240Hz. And 400nits. Just today, I ahve been asked to play CS:GO which I do not play at all. And it was 1st fps game I played after year and half playing other type of games.
I ended up in top 3 each match.

Would it be CS 1.6 I would do better. So, if you want to sell me "better" screen, hand me 27'' 360Hz 600nits+ HDR 2560x1080, and I'll consider it once I have new GPU.

I was talking about todays games which we can compare. We certainly don't see the extra cuda cores of the 3090 scaling lineally today, that might change in the future and maybe it won't. We don't know how Nvidia will scale out in the future with more RT etc but we all have to draw conclusions with the information available today. Anyhow my point was more to release day reviews of AMD's lineup vs Nvidia's 3090, 3080, and 3070 lineup. I fully expect Nvidia to fare better with the 3070 and below.

Might.... Still though. This push for pixels and such for years and now to be talking of this is kind of a slap in the face.

Although new technology (RT) can make hardware hurt for a while until maturity hits.

Most likely depends on the game itself. I can push more than my 120hz panel has to offer and some games just tear.
