I can honestly say I never had any stuttering at all with the 8700k. It is a 5gig but it was so smooth. Before I had a 3770k and that was a nightmare.

Using dx12, I would expect it to have better core utilization than Odyssey. Plus there is also a difference in presets, so maybe some fluff requires more CPU power to run. Either way at 4k, I'm sure you'll be fine with your 8700.

Ye with origins and especially odyssey you need 6 cores, but as long as you got that then you are good... even with my ancient 4930k :D

This is a joke every year, an i7 and 1080 just to run 1080 p 60 fps is just a joke...

God forbid games progress. The writing has been on the wall for a bit now that there was going to be a huge advancement in demand for CPU and GPU horsepower.

Man it has always been like this with assassin s creed, game doesn t look that good and still requires a lot of horsepower, seriously this can t continue

  7. Game engines are the same as every other tech in this regard. You need to do a complete overhaul/rewrite every 8-10 years to keep up, otherwise you end up like... Intel for example.

    I would take 1440p/60fps over 2160p/30fps anyday.

Yeah, playing at 30 fps... can't quite comprehend how console games have been content with it for so long...

Damn I didn't even realize that Odyssey and previous games were using DX11. No wonder the cpu usage sucks on AMD processors. I hope they do the same for the next Far Cry, not that I care really because that game is stale as the bread that's been in my fridge for 4 months.

I found when I squeeze the loaf slightly before twizzling the end around (so there is no loose air at all) and stuffing the twizzled bit under the loaf in the fridge to stop it coming undone, it keeps bread fresh for a week, even after opening it every day or so! Of course repackaging it the same way each time it is used.
I'm talking air tight packaged ready sliced bread, brown seeded. But it has worked with other air tight packaged breads too.
Fridge is set to about 3C.

If I leave the bread unsqueezed so there is loose air, it goes stale quickly.
So perhaps the same will apply when not in a fridge.

I actually stopped eating bread years ago. Just fruits, vegetables and roasted meat like chicken. Found a nice currysauce to go with it btw.

The little bread side discussion on the last page was more interesting than this game appears to be. Leave it to Ubisoft to release a game that's both half-baked and stale at the same time...not to mention a little bit moldy as well.

So if you fight one of those Templar knights just lure him onto a bridge and push him into a river. They can't swim. >)
