Let's see what the members are using at home for watching movies, surely most of you are already using 4K resolution, but 1080p has it's place as well.
May I start with a 55'' / 139cm Sony Bravia XF9005 from late 2018, which took long enough to save the money, but the image quality was surely worth it.
The earlier tv was smaller and had a 1080p resolution.

    Please vote and post.
Thanks in advance for everyone involved. :)

55" 4k. My first TV in over 15 years. ~500€ on sale. Philips 3 sided ambilight. IPS. Nothing special, but supports some HDR and Dolby Vision, but it is nice enough for me and my family. Plugged in a LG SJ9 soundbar and sub I bought used for ~250€. Also plugged in a ChromeCast Ultra. Works fine for those few things that aren't immediately available with an app in the TV's primitive smart features.

Multiple TVs in the house, from 42" to 65". Don't watch any of them, everyone else seems to be satisfied.

I have a 1080o projector at 105" does thar count? Otherwise have a 50" 1080p tv( too small in the same room as projector as 3 metres from screen) but have a 48" 4k tv in the regular sitting room which is good.

My TV size is exactly the number of dimes I give on politics, today news and other crap.
    0 (zero).
    That's about it.
And yes, every time the subject pop us, it's fun to see people's reactions: " You don't have a TV? What is wrong with you?"

There is nothing wrong with you, everybody should do what he likes.
Even if you would own a tv, that doesn't mean you must watch politics, news and other boring stuff. ;)

The way I see it, and speaking my mind for not being a hypocrite.
If I buy a TV, as a electronic device is to use as a screen, to display content I decide. Buying a 32" or 42" monitor is waaay beyond my wildest dreams.
So, a TV for me it's just a big screen.
The "watch TV" passively, consuming content as some corporation see fit is what I despise.
I do watch some news feeds, but at my own pace and choosing.
    That's about it.

32" HD Ready (1366x768) Panasonic something something.

Had it for 10 years surely and believe it or not, it replaced a 14" CRT TV.

I think I got you beat. I believe I had a 10" TV when I was growing up, in my room. It only had 8 channel buttons so the only way to watch more channels without adjusting it was to try and combine different buttons and hope you hit the right frequency.
For those too young to remember, I basically had to tune my TV with a dial like an FM radio. And each button had it's own dial.

    I got a 42" now.
I sit far enough away to go bigger but doesn't really seem worth it. I'm still happy with it after 7 years.

Well if we go that far back then yes, a similar 10" I believe.

Had our Nintendo hooked up to it so ofc it was the best thing ever.
The same console is actually still in use, my brother has it and plays every now and then.

I'm amazed it still works basically without a hitch. Original controllers too.

The console is... 31 years old!

Edit: no the TV actually must have been bigger, I'm guessing it probably was 14" too, thinking back.
