CD Projekt RED Announces Cyberpunk

Its not Cyberspunk lol.

 

The games was designed with older console generation in mind (PS4/..), for which the game was originally designed for until release was pushed back.
GTX 10XX serie are head and shoulders beyond previous gen console generation, i wouldn't worry the slighest.

 

The old consoles will likely be upscaling from 720p (xbox one) and 900p (ps4), and use the equivelant of PC low settings. So yeah, 1000 series is way better than the old consoles, but to play at 4k ultra, i reckon you are gonna need some serious gpu power - i don't think a 2080 ti is gonna manage 4k 60, more like 40ish.

 

A GTX 1080 for 1080p at 60 fps should be sufficient. No RTX, sure, but the rest should go down well, unless the optimisation is borked.

 

There's always the potential to gain more fps by not running everything on ultra though.
In RDR2 i played around shadows, volumetric fog or water physics on 1440p and results anywhere from 25 to 120fps.

So i'd say you can run anything on 4K if you spend your gfx power in a reasonable way.

 

Some games scale alot in performance with various settings, where others do not. In witcher 3 most settings barely make a difference to performance - mostly just foilage render distance. And seeing as this is the same developer, using an iteration of the same engine, it shall be interesting to see if the same is the case in cyberpunk

 

just shows the power of their new engine looking that good and able to eek out 30fps on PS4. Basically takes the same hardware to run what TW3 took but looks much better. TW4 is gonna be sick!

Wow, the production value for this game is off the freakin charts!

 

Quite literally, with a grand total production cost estimated (or "rumored") to be anywhere around $175 to $220 million (including marketing and all indirect costs of production). In comparison, The Witcher 3's cost was estimated to have been "above $85" million (again, including everything and marketing / advertising campaign and so on).

 

Too much hype... it's going to be one of those sessions you fight sleep cuz it's so good. It's so rare a game is worthy of that.

 

Every Witcher game has only gotten bigger and better. I think Cyberpunk is gonna set the bar so high its gonna make other developers (that were once AAA) look at themselves in shame.

 

I feel like it's going to be like the launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R for me, I started playing it at like... 8 something in the afternoon and then it was morning the next day and it felt like no time had passed.

I already know what will happen, so this time i took 1.5 weeks off work.

There's no way i can concentrate on work when i'm this hyped

 

I know what you mean... Im not gonna spend any vacation while working from home though - can just power through my to-do list in a couple of hours, and then game the rest of the time
