NVSlimmer - NVIDIA driver slimming utility

Thanks for the reminder, I forgot to change mine to MSI after trying out one of the new 30xx card drivers, nvslimmed, on my 1080ti.
When I reboot later today I'll find if the MSI change took and will report back.

nvslimmer has absolutely nothing to do with message signalled interrupts.

 

It seemed unlikely to me at first that nvslimmer would influence msi. I've tested it again after downloading the latest driver and ddu-ing the old one and I can't reproduce the problem. It's strange since I've done several reboots on the day I had the problem. Everything is working as it should and not a clue what caused it in the first place.

 

NVcleanstall has option built-in for MSI mode, check the tweak option, no need to do anything else reg wise.
I also doubt NVslimmer had anything to do with MSI mode inability.

Nvslimmer must be updated, the error message is back with the new driver 457.09.

 

The error message is back with the new driver 457.30.

 

But app runs very well

 

is there an update planned for nvslimmer v.10 because the latest driver for my 1080ti v457.30 when I tried the tool it found an unrecognized folder. It stated "One or more unrecognized folders were detected. Please review them before installing". The unknown is a folder named "FrameviewSDK".

Update required for new package as of December 2020.

 

@Digika NVSlimmer works great nonetheless. Issue is very minor.

Latest 460.89 NON DCH driver. Tried multiple times. The created installer does NOT install properly. It reports this error and does not install Experience etc

If I unpack the 7zip it installs fine (but does trigger a TMP file that Defender wants to analyse).

anyone know the settings for core drivers and ONLY freestyle for game filters? do i require GE now? I see that in the past it was possible to use freestyle without GE. thanks!

I'm trying to trim latest driver for my laptop (it's an Asus customized version), but I can't.

Obviously, I'm sure this is a valid Nvidia package and I have 125+ GB free space...
Could somebody kindly help me?

EDIT (for future reference):
I did so:

1. - Extract the package;
2. - Compress it;
3. - Create a self extracting archive.

NVSlimmer says that one or more unrecognized folder were detected, and invite to review them before installing, but the job is done: tried and... the newest driver is now installed!
I wasn't prompted for a reboot, but I did by myself (just in case...).

It doesn't work.. its the re-7zipping that is not working I think....

FYI, I did bare driver plus Physx and HDMI Audio... Its BROKEN!
