All of the drivers that work with 3080 break my 2080ti for forza 7.... Is there a fix for this? Becuase I have star wars squadron and serious sam 4 and they are newer games.

Astyanax is the #1 source of mis-information in this whole forum lmfao, mister "oh call of duty with raytracing hitching?? blur blur blur clear your shaders, " "It's not a driver issue, its a game issue" a month later nvidia press release : we fixed slowdowns with modern warfare with ray tracing on!

    @HoWxCoRe

For once Astyanax has a point.
The security fixes are present in hotfix driver too so no need upgrading to whql driver for them.

The actual driver is the same hence the same version number.

I'm sticking with 456.38 , i see a big regression / lost performance after the first driver was release for my rtx 3090. Tested initial driver 456.38 best driver so far and no problems with it perfect , / 456.55 and whql 456.71 lost performance everywhere in benchmarks and games ~10-20 fps :( , i hope they release a new performance driver soon. This latest driver is the worst ...

We just can't seem to be able to reproduce this and the GeForce Experience logs do not really show a reason for this.

They don't limit the boost, they smooth the drivers response to the boost algos that could trigger sudden boost spikes and inversely does the same with downward spikes.

There shouldn't be any performance disparity, benchmarks should be same or higher because as a result.

@vmanuelgm have you noticed any benchmark issues with 55 or 71?

What monitor is your card connected to? What graphics card do you have?

Clearly altered V/F curve in .55 driver:

    https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/g...ely-due-to-poscap-and-mlcc-configuration.html

    Hilbert's words:
Earlier today we have tested, analyzed (and confirmed) that NVIDIA has been tweaking the clock and voltage frequencies. Our homegrown AfterBurner can analyze and help here. Below you can compare the 456.38 and new 456.55 driver VF curve, it now is slightly different and clearly shifted to precisely 2000 MHz in the upper range. So NVIDIA has taken the edge off the frequency as well as a slightly lower voltage seems to be applied. The plot below is based on the FE card, not even AIB. So NVIDIA is applying this driver wide and for their own founder cards as well.

Every boost step has its own voltage predefined in the vbios.

Nvidia has confirmed to PCGW that is is not limiting the clocks at all.

For example, Tom's has demonstrated increased clocks

Can you fill out the form below so we can look into it? Make sure to include which game you are seeing this with.

We are testing a fix for this. The next driver should have a fix for this.

I find these 71 less oc stable than 55 in my particular case, gigabyte 3090 gaming oc.

if so, it must be an ongoing issue with gsync on web-videos such as youtube, i thought it was fixed with the other VRR issues that were in this driver but your post seems thats not the case.
