Asus Prime x370-Pro Bios Update to 5601 done: Everyhing runs as before
the only difference is that the temp reading seems to be more smooth, i mean it's not going up and down as fast as before
+ i had to redo all settings as i had to on every update before

ran aida memory stress test for 5 minutes + 2 test cycles of prime95 memory stress test mode at 2933 with the sane timinings as before

Damn: the pricing about 250 for one kit b-die is the same as i noticed when i tried to get it it's too much for me :/


Btw The pics that's my current memory idk what my parents paid for it but when i check it should be about 140 Euros (chekd price-comparison page with price history from 2017 ) by the time they've bought the components

It was Asus Prime X370-Pro, 1700X, Corsair 2x8GB 3200Mhz kit, RX 580 8GB (which died, i replaced it with a used vega 56)
Got the components and had to self-build the computer (which is really nice^^)

Depending how my money-situation develops by the end of the year i may upgrade the cpu + memory then

Yep, just load and then apply your own stuff.
I didn't make it. But basically what he did was expose a hidden setting for spread spectrum in the bios, disabled it, and then hid it again.

 

Currently 16gb ddr4 3200 with cl14 from gskill are sub 100 euros on Geizhals.de ...

Flare X or Trident. I run 2x 8gb tridents. 3400 MHz no problem, 3466 a challenge.

 

But i don't think it's worth spending the money for a jump from 2933 to 3200 with a ryzen 1700x

100 Euro is still a lot of money for me

lmao. certainly seems that way at times with this company wtf, wtf....or the other one was assassinated

 

I know and the board is still going for 300 bucks new the CH VII x470, you would think it would get the same attention as the newer ones. I really want the bios for the 4000 series for it, then I won't feel like such a dumbazz for buying it.

 

I hope too i may upgrade then but i dont think they'll release an update for the 370 boards it seems that it's not just the motherboard manufacturers but also amd that are trying to get us to buy new boards.
