Seems like the classic scenario of modern clueless gaming industry:
    1. Take some old kick-ass PC game with unique graphics
    2. Port that to shitty consoles
    3. Port that castrated port back to PC
    4. Splat some pointless effects on top on an old unoptimized engine to make it crawl like a snail
(because thats what Crysis is all about, right?)
    5. Make it look like a sunday morning cartoon and call it "Remaster"
    6. Profit!
I didn't really expect anything else. Well, maybe a fix for the multicore usage but no, too much effort.
30FPS is standard on consoles anyway so why bother...

This remaster was the perfect opportunity for Crytec to revive the Crysis franchise.
A lot of people were interested on a good remaster, most on PC, but many on consoles as well.
If they had made a decent effort, it could be one of the best games of 2020. Chances are, it would sell very well.
But instead we got this poor excuse for a game and they just sullied the franchise reputation.
It's pathetic that modders are doing a better job than a professional studio.

Which in turn makes sense why they took epics money over actually putting effort into making a good game.

seems to be a trend tho not a hard one some games take epics cash tend to phone it in or be weak.

Hey guys. Its awesome. I managed to get 90-100fps upload_2020-9-29_23-4-35.gif . Just all settings on the right --> ALL MEDIUM. Raytracing OFF. Rest options above Ray Tracing, like shadows, shaders etc V.HIGH . Thats with 1440P. On 2080 Ti and 9700K.

Ah yeah it was update today? I even not recognize.

Can someone explain how this can still be so badly single-threaded if it's based on Cryengine 3 and the console port?

I'd imagine getting Crysis to run on last gen consoles is nearly impossible without at least some multithreading?

I'm not questioning Remaster isn't a single-thread hammerfest, just I can't understand how even that went wrong.

Btw I read way back an article where the author speculated that Crysis console ports would bode well for a better PC version too, exactly because the game must be multithreaded on consoles.

Change everything except the one thing that would really matter eh.

OK guys. Game was updated to 1.2v. Feeling smooth alot now. More fps . But i must turn down VEGETATION to MEDIUM to have 50+80+fps. This thing on high decrease -15fps.
All other V.HIGH ,RAYTRACING ( performance ) on 1440P. Game is now patched and its a lot better. Thats with 2080 Ti Aorus Waterforce Xtreme ( boost in game 1890-1920mhz ) and 9700K.

Just played replayed fast 2 mission ( the most demanding ) and third.

Thanks for the reports. So it is still not able of 120+ FPS on 1440p with 2080ti. And propably never will be, even with 3090 lol - no matter how many patches they spit out for it. For a PC freak like me this means I don't need to follow this fiasco any more. Don't need another half-assed console port with blinding color constrast and saturation. If only Crytek made this themselves instead of outsourcing to some clowns...

Wait, you want 120+ fps in a ray traced game?
