Maybe it is specific to 580 and, if that's correct, i see you have 480, right? 1920x1080, 75Hz.
I tried to reinstall 20.9.1 with DDU and after it still the same problem. I just reverted to 20.8.3 and fullscreen video playback is working properly.

I tested GTA 5 with these drivers with the 20.Q3 enterprise, i really see no difference. So yea those extra fps from that video, i guess its from that overlay thing or something.
As for 20.9.1 drivers performance, using them on my second computer with my RX 570, no problems whatsoever, performance is perfectly fine. Great drivers. Compared 20.9.1 to enterprise 20.q.3, 20.9.1 i get more fps in wildlands, but way less fps in gear tactics.

The 20.9.1 keeps up with the enterprise drivers quite well. Both are good. :)

The driver itself works alright, just replaying a few older games on steam that wouldn't run on Linux due to drm. However AMD seriously need to fix their OpenGL experience on Windows.

i think there's some OpenGL to vulkan wrappers around? that could improve

Nice to see lots of bug fixes but I'm wondering why they teased HAGS in an earlier driver but to not include it in later releases seems silly to me

because it isn't easy to implement. I suspect it will be in the next driver build, probably with the next card release. And December is coming, Omega release.

HAGS is still "in progress" even for MS. See MS blog about HAGS

MPC-HC is still getting updates and even if it wouldn't be getting them still is a power house of a player.

Anyway, yesterday after few days on 20.8.3 i just installed 20.9.1 again and now for some reason problem doesn't occur anymore.

Hi Mate, I strongly recommend to check the MPC/HC BE anyway. Basically BE is a fork of MPC-HC but .... better :)
I have both but use BE mainly.... strongly recommended :)

Windows 2004/20.9.1 on RX580, I’m using mpc be with madvr & lav and getting lag when switching to full screen always, it doesn’t happen with PotPlayer.

I never found a way to MPC/HC. But I'm pretty happy with PotPlayer. Is there any reason to use MPC instead?

I know that PotPlayer has two ways for FullScreen. With exclusive mode there is also lag for me. Isn't MPC using exclusive FullScreen mode?

I don’t know really I didn’t touch full screen settings of mpc be, maybe internally they use something but I can’t find exclusive mode in settings.

I found a video player called splash player and haven't went back to MPC or pot player since lol. Been using it for years, best video player for watching quick videos/movies. I use cyberlink player to watch Blu-ray and DVD movies though, because of that true motion feature. MPC and potplayer and other players just gave me too much issues and not the best quality. Splash player is free btw.

Some games may exhibit stutter intermittently during gameplay on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products
Will they ever fix this or do i have to go green?

:D That's NOT related to mythical "driver CPU overhead".

Check your CPU utilization on those screenshots. You have even lower CPU utilization on that one you are trying to mark as affected to "driver CPU overhead".

Also, there are no changes for me since 20.4.2 on Vega. I even have higher FPS in games.

So, it seems there is something wrong with your system. This is not driver problem.
