I would like to know what shader model my gpu has, I am using GPU-Z and I see shader model 5.0. I looked at my gpu specs here, https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-960.c2637. It shows shader model 6.4. I have a Gigabyte GTX 960 OC 2gb and would like to know if I have shader model 6.4. What shader model does my gpu have?.

    Some help would be good.

You just need to have an up to date Windows 10 and a somewhat recent driver. Kepler has (600/700 series) reported Shader Model 6.5 on Win10 2004 since a few months ago, so the GTX 960 is no problem for that.

12on7 is what they call using DX12 on Win7, no relevance if you're already using Win10.
Though if you're upgrading only for Cyberpunk, I'd at least wait until the game is out and we have benchmarks to go by.
