Worth waiting for these cards then, 20gb is very overkill but should mean no bottlenecking in the future depending on how games go.

But will depend on the new price, would assume a jump up to £1000 to £1100 on that 3080, but saves me from having to get a 3090 unless the difference in performance is bigger than we predict

    Interesting stuff.
Fingers crossed 3080S is 1000$ or lower at launch.

Wish games would start bundling textures separately - like a tick to check on installation.
Seeing how games get larger and larger while I'm in no need for 4k textures.
Also nice for people who use these instead of Quadros for work and also game.

Who cares? Nvidia and low stock just means everyone is going to be looking until Jan. Oh gee that's nice. Wish I could get one but can't cause they sell out in one second. I guess when they make enough cards for everyone to enjoy, then I'll give a crap.

Sorry I'm bitter about the whole launch. What did they make? 10k cards for the entire world at launch? If that? Jesus. Take care.

I wonder many people will expect these to go for 850, while they're probably going to be over a 1000.

I wonder if nVidia knows something about RDNA2 that we don't...

At any rate you'll have to wait to purchase any of the 3080 cards, it's out of stock everywhere.

And when will this be launching? Because 308010GB buyers will be angry if this it's true, many people would prefer the 20GB model...

Why the Nvidia not say it at the begining: "Hey idi..noobz,this is the mass-media/reviewers release (16 sept), Do Not expect Soon(tm) the newer cards. We will release better and enough cards Sooner(tm) or later with better cooling system and More Vram for your 4K systems." Dohhh,nvidia... [IMG]

And that secrecy with 8nm waffers made it at Samsung, instead of 7nm at TSMC as usual.

    3090 24gb is 22% faster and costs 110% more than 3080 10gb.

If anyone respects common sense and free open market should never accept that idiotic deal from baker JHH.

3080 20gb/3070 16gb makes more sense unless nvidia can give me a full chip 3090 ti 48gb under 2000€. Right.

Cant wait for the 3070 8gb and 16gb to be tested in Doom Eternal. It should clarify the vram issue some are insisting this game is limited by @4k. :D

A 3060 will likely be the big seller, depending on price, it needs to be a max £320 card for mainstream, unless they are going to bring hardware Ray tracing to a possible 3050 at low end, the new Nvidia Broadcast app for Streamers needs RTX to work as it utilises the Tensor Cores for the AI

That's pretty normal though. Not that I like it. For the past decade (beyond?), all the top tier cards are terrible for price/performance metrics.

I know I have never been willing to pay that extra arm and leg just to get another 15-25% of performance at sometimes twice the price. Beyond the xx60 and xx70, the pricing gets absurd. Then nvidia made every series even more expensive. It pushed me to AMD this last time and may do so again at the $400ish level that I'm willing to spend at. At this point, I doubt the 3070 will knock my socks off comparted to my 5700XT. I may wait until 2021-2022.

If you're not happy with the product, you should not buy it. People being angry about this stuff only shows their own lack of self-restraint.
