New features to improve latency coming in September Game Ready driver

 

Can't wait to test this out in Valorant.

They used Pascal as reference.

Yeah, I am skeptical of those performance claims, were those tests done with Ultra Low latency mode on/off?

 

I mean, reducing rendering queue... doesn't max prerendered frames = 1 do the same? Keep the queue empty?
The rest is nice to have, but flashing out more money for a new screen, a new mouse, and a GPU to have a number there that says you what your latency is for.... knowing a number? Not sure I need this.
Autotuning... probably is more modest than what people do themselves. Nice to have but I guess results won't be over the top (+100MHz shouldn't be too hard to tune oneself).

So the game has to implement the feature, or is it applicable to most games?

 

Awesome news. Finally something for 900 series. Although I am planning on upgrading to the 3070 or 3060! Either way, nice!

 

I'm not sure it's "retro" with all Gsync displays.

"The G-SYNC 360Hz Compatible Displays Releasing This Fall Include A New Feature: The NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer"
"Additionally, starting this fall, ASUS, ACER, Dell, and MSI 360Hz G-SYNC displays will incorporate NVIDIA Reflex latency analyzer technology."

Reflex will work on a wide range of rates, but I understand that only on new screens.

Why? It's just the Analyzer software Just tells you what your current latency is etc
