Like people have said 10gb is plenty for right now but it doesn't feel very future proof. Hopefully double ram versions will get released pretty soon but 20gb is defo overkill.

They should have just made them 8gb and 16gb and charged way less for the 8gb version.

But that would not be nVidia. They make 8gb and charge the full price, than they make 16gb/20gb/whatever 3 months laters as AMD releases their cards, and they charge full price once again.
Full price means last gen +100usd at least at base models. 3060 will cost 400 usd, thats what ...70 models used to cost. And upper tiers will get even more insane.

I hope ppl will not buy to that, but I know they will... in that case, they deserve what they get - their cards turning oldskool in few months

Rumor has it the new TITAN will ship with 40gb vram, 6912 cores, 108 SMs. I bet 2999~3000$ like old days or latest titan V. So, 1499~1500$ is possible for 3090rtx. Small price boost from rtx 2080ti, of course, it all depends in VAT and each country separately, I wonder retail price and TGP.:(

3090 will be much faster than 3080, TITAN will be much faster than 3090. 3080ti/Super and 3070 super/3060 super are becoming obsolete, new tiers, new abnormalities, new leagues are created this gen.

With me for right now I don't need no more than 6/8GB of VRAM right now because I don't have any really taxing games right now. I don't need to max out all settings for a game to look good graphically. My current GPUs that I have. 1060 6GB in my gaming laptop and 8GB 1070 and I haven't played anything that really taxes the VRAM. Also to some users 10GB of VRAM would be enough for them for a while depending on what setting they are running their games at.

It's already part of the 20 series...not sure why it'd need to be re-announced for the 30 series though also would not be surprised if it doesn't have it considering the fact that....USB-C VirtualLink hasn't really been popular...at all...even remotely...

Wonder if the sparsity optimized tensor cores in Ampere help bring up DLSS performance and/or quality.

Virtualink has been discontinued, tech partnerships fizzled out.

This isn't a leak, its a fake produced by a coreteks discord member.

rofl like if everyone would have 1.5k+ to spend on a gpu. I personally don't know anybody who spend that much on gpus and i know people well into the 6 figures salary.

Well even if I could, I won't give that money right now. I'm waiting to buy a Yamaha RX-V6A for a pure gaming station plus extra speakers. Graphics alone are for plebeians. Sound is about the half entertainment. HDMI 2.1, atmos virtualization and hdr10+, are more groundbreaking than ray-tracing.

In just a few hours from now, all the rumors and speculation will be over and the line-up will be revealed.
It'd be funny if BigNavi2 were released on the very same day...(wishful thinking).
The reaction would be priceless to say the least.
I'm currently running a 4GB Zotac GTX770 upgraded with new dual ball bearing fans.
I plan on waiting to see what AMD brings and at what price before committing to anything new.
That'll give the reviewers and early adopters a chance to test.
If failures similar to some of the GTX20 series occur, I can then view trends to make the best decision.
I'm not too anxious because I can always pick up a good current generation card, should the GTX30 series be too over-priced.

I would settle on more official information from AMD about RDNA2. They have been silent on it for quite a while now, with the only real information we have coming from the XSX APU.

You know what happens when amd hype the cards, "the nvidia killer", never good. Silent seens more promising but the leaks will come very soon im sure.

actually Samsung has very good yields @7nm. their issue is their exynos proc is not as good as the snapdragon. right now Samsung is giving away (with AT&T subsidizing) free 7nm phones with their 7nm 5g processors... and the numbers of these just for AT&T alone will outnumber every gpu sold this year.

there is no reason (yet) to believe the differing SKU's are cut down.
i definitely believe with 3060 on down they *will be*, but the 3090 is a "halo" product with unique silicon and they just will not be manufacturing enough numbers of this for "cut down" procs to supply the 3080.
IF they are going to do a "cut down" remember - every model that's less expensive sells more in quantity than the model above.

Is it even confirmed to be Samsung's 7nm?
