The memory configurations are so weird. I wonder if the 3090 is really just some Titan replacement for rendering or whatever and Nvidia is going to do something offset the need for more VRAM (maybe the NVCache rumor is true?).

The gap between the 3090 and 3080 is randomly large. The fact that it may be 7nm again is really weird. The 30w TDP difference between the 3090/3080 despite massive differences is really weird.

Whole thing is weird, I don't like it.

Uhm, if this is true, cuda core difference between 3090 and 3080 is quite large !

5248 / 4352 ... that's 20% extra performance just from the cores, assuming clocks are equal.

Their yields must be complete horsesh|t, if they had to cut so much :(
Expect 3080 "Super" later in 2021, with less cutting.

I feel that gap is massive between the 80 and 90 but I think that's on purpose to slot another card in later. It was the same with the 2080ti and the 2080(none super) theyre just leaving themselves options to compete later.
Unless they price these more realistically I might have to go with the 3070 or even 3060 there is no way I can justify $600+ for a card when an entire console costs that much.

Specifications wise, difference is smaller between 3090 and 3080 VS 2080TI and 2080 in main chip/cores/speed specifications. The difference gap is bigger only for faster and more huge amount of memory.

Difference between 2080ti and 2080 was 1408 cores. Not 896 like Ampere.

Difference is not that massive except memory. Nvidia counts to memory specs for extra sales. 2080ti was really more powerful than 2080, didn't need 2.4x times memory to be "appealing".

3090 is just a Titan of this generation put to mainstream. Nvidia is being sneaky this time. So much for Titan is not for gaming.

3080 and 3070 are just so uninteresting.

We simply need to wait for AiB solutions with more vram. Then and only then 3080/3070 will be "interesting" gpus.

AiB are set to launch with FE but will not offer more vram just better cooling. 3070 is just a 2080super for 100$ less.

So you're telling me it's either the biggest navi or 3090 for a proper 4K experience? You killed my 2020 holidays, instantly, flawlessly. :(

3070 seems nice, and not super power hungry.

Hahah my new gfx card will SOOO have more than 8gb VRAM. Please AMD, end this strange era, tomorow is too late.

If pricing is wrong once again, with those mediocre specs and huge tgp, I see myself buying an xbox series x console at day 1.

I am not really willing to pass 300w for a single dgpu. 3070 is the most appealing to my eyes, now I eagerly await for rdna2 big navi's reveal for a corresponding solution.

I pray for 3070 to be faster than 2080 super. Then it would be the sweet spot for all gamers. At papers 3070 is already more power hungry than 2070 super. I wish that to transform into performance numbers there.

I really hope all these leaks and rumors are fake, I mean it did happen last time with the RTX 20 series. All the leaks and rumors were for the GTX 11 series which just never happened.

I was hoping for a good 2080Ti replacement but really none of these seem like a good replacement for it. I've been eyeing a 4K monitor but I don't think I'll jump on that if there isn't a GPU worth the upgrade over my current card. The 3090 seems overkill in the memory department. And who knows if we'll get a 3080Ti any time soon, if at all if these leaks are right.

Gotta wait for Ray Tracing specs,
I'd probably sit tight if i were you, can't see CP2077 stomping over a 2080ti at 1440p, at 68 ray tracing cores the 2080ti will pehaps hold it's weight a while yet.
Just gotta see the new Gen2 ray tracing core count in these cards first before making any moves, judgements.
I'm personally all in i'm without gpu right now.

Ampere RT performance will probably be much better, Nvidia is hoping game like cyberpunk will help sell those cards.

We should probably wait to see how much RT gain traction this year's before buying those...oh and I can already feel the DLSS 3.0 Ampere exclusivity based on..... nothing
