There is something wrong driver or game side.

590 at the same lvl as a V56 and v64 dosent make sense.

 

Somebody need to test it with older driver maby?
20.5.1 WHQL is very good AFAIK.

Game needs to be patched IMO...

For Vega (to run the game Fine) we need to Enable HBCC at 16GB -> Game will not choke anylonger.

 

Do you think it will be patched in time ? ( Or a driver level fix? )

Idk but in steam hardware survey only 0.33% of all steam users using an RX VEGA

It will probably take a while

Hello, so small story time

Yesterday was just working as I normally do on my PC and after loading some GPU intensive tasks I just got a display out, maybe some windows issue...

Long story, drivers, cmos, etc

Let me try another PSU and bamm all good.

swaped it out all good right, well when I was puting the old one on a box the 8pin cabble from the psu was burned like missing pieces. oh dear. Since I need the computer for work and was running stuff during the night I havent check the Vega but I bet its burned somewere on the 8 pins.

Lets hope it dosent kill the next psu

 

Whats happening with Vega and Horizon zero dawn? That performance is not acceptable for such a gpu. Navi seems to do much better.

 

I wanted to get it next month but after reading about the performance issues i'll wait

I really hope they'll fix it (or amd) maybe it's just an issue due to port from ps4 to pc

But what makes me wonder is that nobody noticed the problems before releasing the game
As Vega may be not that super common among steam users but it was AMDs last flagship gpu for 2 years + the cards were quite cheap the past months and i guess many have gotten a cheap vega 56 for about 200 eur new

There was a reason why I compared the Vega 64 to the VII, and not, for instance, Navi or Polaris.

Both V56 and V64 are affected while the VII is not. Why is that?

 

We have nearly identical rigs. Crazy. Wonder why my combined is so much lower.
I have a Vega 56 reference card with Vega 64 bios and a H60 120mm AIO.

 

Try it with the anti cheat off. unofficail severs. ARK rapes my system. But I play @ 3440x1440 100hz.
I really wanna get a 5700XT or Radeon VII

IT WORKS! And boy does it run way better, and I do mean way better. Min FPS is so much higher for me now. I was dropping to the low 30s, I stay i the 50s+ now.
All I did was copy dxi.dll and D3D11.dll form x64 to ARK/ShooterGame/Binaries/Win64. Launch game in steam, click official servers without battleye anticheat. Went to single play and it runs so smooth now.

 

I normally play single player or jsut with friends,will try

 

RX580 faster than Vega56 and 64

 

There is something very bad going on. Also the game has huge issues with frames . Let's see what Amd responds. On Reddit they were already looking at it

 

I's just Bad Shader Optimisation (at the beginning).
Will be patched soon.

My ram is at 3066 16/18/18/38. But still, its not that massive of a difference.

Im more & more leaning to RTX 3080 instead of Big Navi.....
And there is also DX9/DX11 & OGL to consider.
Why o why ATI do not learn? (i miss old good ATI in the old days).

 

When I see bench results like this, it's usually because the game developers have only made optimisations for one set of hardware and the only QA done for the other side is "Does it run? Yes. Ok no problem" - I wouldn't blame AMD/ATi for skewed results like this.
