And for today I discovered a book about cats.

    Well that's intriguing...
    https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/NightmareFuel/WarriorCats
And that is indeed kinda dark.

Now that doesn't seem to be too bad, even got a animated children's show at that.

Well how bad could it possibly be.

    Oh. Cuddly child friendly rabbit.

Was actually a show a bit like that which was for some reason incredibly popular in the Nordic countries here back in the early 1990's but several other regional releases are very cut down, sweet opening though and some catchy music but it also gets pretty graphic although from my knowledge still toned down a bit from the original comic/manga.

    https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manga/GingaNagareboshiGin

(Think there was another one too even closer in style but I forgot it's name, Willows something?)

Music still holds up, ha ha.

Next up maybe a delve into fanfics!
    https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/ThirtyHs

Well perhaps later...and yeah someone wrote that. Several people then made read-aloud videos of it which one probably should be incredibly careful about if listening to in public spaces. :D

EDIT: Well darker comics and cartoons aimed at younger audiences isn't particularly new or special although the trend has shifted from educational to just being gross (Ren&Stimpy and what else.) to mostly just comedic or a bit of mixing it up.
Then it varies in how much gets cut or toned down now versus then or in various regions if not outright refused or changed to be more aimed at teens or shown later during the evening or night.

Impressive display of hair, wind and a bird or two. Professional photography is quite a art.
And all the various styling and what not, portraits in particular must be tough to get just right. :)

I look terrible on photos though so YMMV I suppose, asymetrical and a twitch or sneeze , cough or whatever ha ha.
(Everybody gets that when it comes to important stuff like the driver license or ID at least. Or so I keep telling myself at least. :D )

EDIT: Well some birds also look really stylish speaking of that.

Although I believe the origin is bird fighting or something like that, Shamo I believe.

It's not a cassowary at least, more style less viciousness.

EDIT: Ah and of course there's a article on them.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamo_chickens

    Earn your breakfast eggs!

EDIT: Although while on that subject the Silkie ones are pretty cool too.

Yeah almost 30 Celsius here and it's still fairly early in the afternoon so it's not over yet.

Been entertaining myself with some high class humor that was good even back in the ancient era.
    https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ToiletHumour

Also learning some historical important facts here.
"By decree of the king thou shalt jump into the air, puff in a bit of air and blast it out."
Must have been a solid deal for the size of that land in agreement to keep it up across multiple generations for 200 years and hoping to impress whatever ruler happened to be in charge at this time period.

"No my king we are not collecting tax from this land the agreement is a bit different now just follow here and prepare for a little show."

Plus some people and their incredible talents.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Pétomane

    What a talent.

EDIT: Wonder what it paid too but considering that for a time he was the star attraction it must have been pretty lucrative.

EDIT: Yep so for a few years until a disagreement ended the partnership the star performer of the Moulin Rouge was a man and his talented behind doing stuff like this.

Entertaining princes, kings and other famous figures like Sigmund Freud.

Liking the Salvador Dali bench there.

As to art the neighboring country of Finland has some curious designs and some pieces such as this one.

    Pig-Duck.

EDIT: Although this one is at least a bit ugly/cute unlike Bad Bad Boy which as a giant naked bald man with built in waterworks probably shouldn't be embedded directly into the forums due to it's looks.

...So this giant "duck" with a plumbers crack was chosen instead because that's so much better.
Could have used the real-world creature known as a geo-duck too but eh it's about the same as the blobfish it has some function or purpose despite looking like it does unrelated to comic relief. :p
(And somehow - especially for the blob fish. - they've both found their way into culinary works.)

EDIT: The affectionate lamps one isn't bad either to go back to the bench art but street lamps tend to end up like that every once in a while. Suppose that says a bit about current driving behaviors.
("Then the stop sign came from nowhere and crashed right into my car as I was waiting for the traffic light to turn over." Or however that supposed traffic police report and story on that went again.)

Suppose no-one is every going to try prying the wheels off of a car that has such a utilitarian attachment mounted on it.

Slow week overall, been reading up on royalty as a fun little diversion.

Apparently the chair still had some popularity as a replica of it was sold some time ago.
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ins-King-Edward-VII-love-chair-goes-sale.html

Long love the king I guess? :p

And as a addition long live the queen too and from the historical info available she sure did her best to avoid "Dirty Bertie" from ever getting the crown so he was in his mid 60's when it finally passed to him.

Good thing furniture back then was built to last. Would have been such a loss to historical preservation if the chair had been destroyed.
(But I'm sure the poor sap assigned to cleaning the thing before it got placed in a museum exhibit thought of burning it many, many times and just getting a replica installed instead.)

EDIT: Plenty of furniture from the oh so prudent Victorian era though but most of it can't be shown due to being none too work safe due to certain design elements and creativity in various motifs.

Plenty of patents and innovations too. ~

EDIT: Not like he was the only one though with that sort of reputation.

And yeah there's indeed several examples of how in the ??? does this thing even work.

That one is at least a bit work safe.

Several quotes and this last image is from the Whores of Yore blog which is not entirely work safe but has a lot of articles and historic material.

Hmm so Frazetta did Lord of the Rings illustrations, there's some real good ones although it seems Frazetta doesn't do pants so there's some fun depictions of some incredibly well toned orcs plus the Witch King here.

Thankfully the robe on Witchy Boy here and the front view of Eowyn ensures the image is work safe. :p
(I suppose in the non-movie adaption Eowyn being decidely unimpressed by Witchy acting all metal here is what drives him from the battlefield in shame.)

Looks like there was also a older animated film besides the one with the singing although it hit budget concerns and the poster lies a bit, Glamdring isn't quite that big in the film itself.

(Plus sized sword fit for a lord.)

    (Tiny but shiny.)

    Bit of a difference there.

Wonderful work on the Nazghul though.

    Smiley horse as a bonus.

EDIT: Hmm what else is there to find.

    Well first things first, food!

Yeah I bet, doubt you'd feel anything after eating one of those.
Or doing much else for that matter...

Considering the fact that Eowyn was hiding among the Rohan warriors we can deduce that this is a male "uniform" for Rohan army...
