On x570 Aorus Master wouldnt install with GPIO checked. Installed GPIO manually with device manager.

 

Did you try deleting the AMD directory?

 

You shouldn't have to do that, it should be a flawless installation.

 

But did it fix it? Thats all I'd like to know. Possible bugs aside.

 

I wasn't able to install drivers on my X570 TUF Gaming but I did it so:
- go to Program Files (x86) folder, you can see an AMD folder inside with all the packages, and run each single msi installer (GPIO, SMBUS, PCI, etc) and choosed to uninstall.
- deleted \Program Files (x86)\AMD folder
- deleted c:\AMD folder
- deleted %appdata%\AMD\Folder
- rebooted
- run setup and it installed flawlessy

Worked fine on MSI prestige x570 creation

Garbage, untested driver release package. To all those claiming an event free experience ... just check your Win 10 Reliability History.

AMD has lowered themselves to the likes of MSI & Asus when it comes to horrendous software construction & distribution. I've given Asus management a hard time for a track record of mistakes but looking back, I think AMD caused some of those issues.

I may have spoken too soon, this morning my computer is stuck after I log on on the welcome screen - the little wheel spins but it does not respond to mouse or keyboard input? (NumLock works, so it’s thinking )

Only problems with the driver with my MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max and Ryzen 5, back to amd_chipset_software_2.04.28.626

 

Yes I had the same problems, system hangs, Nahimic crashes, with the chipset driver 2.04.28.626 everything works again objection free.

 

After i tried installing amd_chipset_software_2.07.14.327 which failed to install with "Error 1316.The specified account already exists".

I have done everything to try fix this but now no AMD chipset driver will install. Not 2.07.14.327 not 2.04.28.626 or the older 2.04.04.111.

I'm at a loss as to why this is happening now, never had issues with AMD drivers before.

Yes i deleted all AMD entries from the 3 places it installs too. C:/AMD - C:/Program Files (x86) and C:\Users\Darren\AppData\Roaming.

Still no joy even after manually uninstalling all AMD entries with MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab.

The PC seems to still be running fine but no AMD chipset driver is installed atm. Maybe i need to do the offline trick?

I ended up doing a system restore to an older date before i tried installing the newest chipset drivers and everything went fine, it went back and i thought that was that.

Next day turn on the PC and Win 10 is borked, won't do anything. Wouldn't repair or do anything so i had to do a fresh install of the 2004.iso. Now it's installed fine but i lost a Tb of game data

 

Does it work for the new B550 chipset ? I have a ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus motherboard.
Is there a drivers version for Windows 7 ?

 

works fine on my b550-f board. no issues at all while installing. only the amd gpio driver differ in versions. 2.0.1.0 vs. 2.2.0.130.
