Not enough infos out yet to get a clear picture. Since FC5 sold pretty well it'll be the same but i hope I'm wrong
You know you could just skip everything beside the main story if you wanted to? For me I'm delighted that I've played 90+ hours on my current Odyssey play through, but I could quite have easily finished the main story in much less time if I was so inclined.
True, but for me FC3 was the exception. That game had a great story and character progression, and you felt like you had an actual goal you were trying to achieve. FC4 just had so much unnecessary crap that it did become a chore. I really wanted to like FC5, it's a gorgeous game but what really broke it for me was the horrible npc character animations. It just felt rushed. Maybe FC6 will be a turning point for the series?
I'd love to have a jungle combat game where you get lost with only a knife and get hunted by enemies, only to turn the tables on them later on when you get more experience & skills & gear.
Uhm, but: - try to rescue your idiot friends - take mushrooms to fight weird nightmares - fight huge demons and goddesses - get jumped by enemies every 2mins because you come across a roadway These things ruined the 'lost' feeling.
Hey believe me, being "lost" can produce some very strange things lol. But very fair and good points My main gripe is your last point about being jumped by enemies when you're on a roadway, I agree. And that is where FC5 was horrible! You can't even walk 20 yards without some random NPC in a car just attacking you for no reason, and then you end up in a firefight which you may or may not live from. And then you wonder WTF was I supposed to do?
