Trying to get into a hack n slash game with an isometric view. Don't have much experience with them so need it to be less complicated than some as far as crafting/equipment goes. Any suggestions? I don't mind if it has rpg elements.
torchlight or diablo? older ones from what i hear tho its not my game of choice but the latest TL and diablo mixed vs old.
Yes, but also one of, if not the most complex ARPG there is, and OP asked for something more on the simple/beginner side of things
Season 21 for Diablo 3 starts this Friday too (around 8pm eastern time if I'm not mistaken, it's been a while since I checked the usual start time), good coincidence. I'd also recommend Titan Quest on Steam, pretty good game overall. And Torchlight 2 as well is alright, I'd still recommend Titan Quest over Torchlight though.
If purely isometric isn't a must and you prefer simple hack and slash, Devil May Cry. The series is on sale on Steam and the latest (5) looks stunning too! Though "simple" as in not complex RPG elements but there's a lot to master combat / combowise.
Thanks Guru's. I'll look into these titles and see which looks the most appealing. And possibly being on sale on Steam might help sway my choice as well.
Hi SerotoNiN, I bought this game a few months ago. It's still in beta but no real bug's just performance improvements and improving skills. It's a bit like i would say Diablo 1 2 & 3, but more like 2. I play it all the time i think you can hit lvl 100+ https://lastepochgame.com/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/899770/Last_Epoch/
Ys games are perfect for you Specifically, I recommend the following:- Ys Origin Ys: The Oath in Felghana Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim Ys Origin is my favourite out of the bunch and it has a cracking soundtrack
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing - https://store.steampowered.com/app/400170/The_Incredible_Adventures_of_Van_Helsing_Final_Cut/ Bastion - https://store.steampowered.com/app/107100/Bastion/ Victor Vran - https://store.steampowered.com/app/345180/Victor_Vran_ARPG/ Vikings Wolves of Midgard - https://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/404590/
Yeah Bastion, how could I forget that. It is a great entry isometric ARPG, but more so, it is a peace of art itself. The hand drawn graphics, the voice over, the music.. Man, Supergiant Games are an amazing dev. That reminds me, I will finally start Transistor today, but also received as BD gift Hades, which is somewhat of the next best thing ever for people into ARPGs and rouge likes.
grabbed it on gog other week after mandolre/seith recommened 100/10 or w/e not played it much think it cheaper on steam than gog.
Wolcen was a decent game with some nice ideas, mediocre execution but still worth your time. Diablo III is still a good option if you don't mind the power-buffs\new sets patches ( very repetitive in my eyes ). Grim Dawn i actually enjoyed more than those two above when it came out. very enjoyable game. Darksiders Genesis seems like a hybrid adventure\action rpg with decent reviews. i didn't play\bought it so i can't review it. Path of Exile iv spent around 150 hours and i stopped long time ago. it's a good, deep game that i found very time demanding and most complicated from all the others i mentioned. enjoy!
