Windows settings -> System -> Display -> Graphic settings
Then restart your PC. Works on all Pascal and Turing GPUs

You can use that new feature, I have a GTX 1080 and is working fine with my PC. (See picture). Cheers!!!

actually wondering, if you enable that, do you still need to set your pre-rendered frames to 1 or ultra?

You can also enable it manually.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers in the registry and create a new 32bit Dword key called HwSchMode. Setting it to 2 turns the feature on and 1 turns it off.

Some more game tests with HAGS ON/OFF

Doesn't seems to do much on slower cards from what I gathered on YT videos.
But min.fps seems to get some boost at least.

Are you on Windows version 2004 (OS Build 19041.329)? Some people haven't received that particular Windows Update yet. If not, you can update to it with the Windows Media Creation Tool.

The question is, how does it offset against a clean (and further neutered) LTSC installation.

Seriously doubt that's worth the hassle ;-)

And then LTSC shouldn't be used on a consumer PC.:p

I've read it benefits users with less VRAM and in general, less powerful CPU's, if you have a high tier rig, I doubt it will do a big change.

That video compares two driver versions, not option on/off in a clean manner.

Is this better for you, my lord? :)

I wouldn't bother with this yet, using the latest drivers I get stutter in games when playing videos on the second monitor using any video player (MPC-BE, WMP, VLC) and I've had to disable hw accel in both my browsers in order to stop the stuttering as it occurs there too where the video stops in the browser but the audio continues.

clean installed the drivers with DDU and its still present. If I disable GPU SCHEDULING the problem goes away.
