@Astyanax By the way, what will happen if you use 450.xx or 451.22 for example on 1909?

that's normal IF you have hdr on.

    certain overlays will disengage it.

Do I need to disable the "Game Mode" in windows if I have "HAGS" turned on? Does it affect one another somehow?

I have this issue where my sound settings will revert to stereo randomly. I'm nut sure if it's a driver thing or a windows thing because I updated to 2004 the same time I updated my gpu drivers. Other than that everything is smooth.

Actually, many of the HDR issues of the past returned for me with this driver, like elevated black level with HDR10 (even on the Windows desktop with both Win10 and NVAPI) and blank screen with Andromeda's DolbyVision (yeah, yeah, I know, it's ALSO the engine's fault but it did work with several driver series) on my LG C9.
I dirty-installed it over 450.99 though, didn't try to clean-install (although that VERY rarely helps but these are preview drivers, so their handling of stale entries might be more quirky).

Yes it does, it has vulkan 1.2.133
not quite sure why Cyberdines package hasn't installed it in your case, it should have.

Both of the ones i repacked do though, and in comparing both i didn't notice any reasons that vk would be busted in his.

thats one of the LG series made compatible with Gsync right?

    @Cyberdyne

If you're still using these, do you happen to have a 144hz display?

if so, have you noticed if Firefox pushes the gpu out of the 2d clocks at all into low power 3d?

Not sure what driver they are using, but another person experiences the driver pushing up the clockrate

I'm a savage that leaves the card locked in prefer high performance, which I'm pretty sure is "low power 3d" at desktop. @Astyanax
Which is 1350 mhz. And yeah i regularly use FF and my monitor is 165 hz.

You can see the driver version he's using in that video. 446.14, it's on the MSI Afterburner window on the bottom.
So I guess it's not the driver that's causing that. If it bothers you, I doubt I need to tell you to try disabling hardware acceleration (but for posterity and lurkers, there you go).
I also use "Yet Another Smooth Scrolling WE", if it's only scrolling that causes issues maybe that could help. I don't use it for clock speeds, just because with the right settings it can feel more like Chrome. But hey, worth a try maybe.
Or just join the savages like me. I got over it back when Windows was unable to downclock with more than one monitor attached. It bothered me, but I got over it, now I expect it.

I get this as well and I do NOT have a HDR monitor. 1080 Ti + PG279Q.

Also, Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduler is turned OFF, Game Mode on or off makes no difference.

That happens for me in Vivaldi as well, and sometimes the return to lower clocks takes quite a while. Really annoying in the summer as the card sucks 40W+ at these clocks and the fans kick in. Pretty sure this was not the case in the past, but to be honest, this high clocks while browsing thing is not really new to me, been going on for months.
