Not everybody likes Epic Games Store, but what they have accomplished with the giveaways tying down users to them over steam, is remarkable. And here's the next one: 'Total War Saga: Troy' will ini... Total War Saga: Troy will (at first) be free on the Epic Games Store
Wow. A free AAA title on day 1? That is some unprecedented bribery. I still haven't installed the client but... damn. I'm not sure I can resist.
I love Steam, but I can honestly say that EGS has proved it is a quality service that I now fully support. Their mega sale this is still going on till June 11th has too much good stuff to pass up.
Why so salty as of late? Guess the method Steam used to force everyone onto their service was a ok back then...open a steam account or no play at all. They did not have to say exclusivity but that is what it was. Who cares there was no other service like it around at the time. They still forced everyone onto it. Epic is doing no different except the exclusivity is timed. Which is the only difference in their methodologies to attract players. Not everyone has to agree on what to like or support. Like it is stated, there is no accounting for taste. Take it however it is preferred. In the whole history of Steam, any free games on the level Epic is tossing out for grabs? Sales yes but free?
I haven't installed the client either, but I sure have 'purchased' all the free titles they've been giving away I also decided to go without - rather than use Steam.
Well, another Total War reskin... the games themselves are going towards a bi anual new setting with the same mechanics. And with Creative Assembly / Sega you can be certain, they want to pull you in with gifting you a 60€ game to buy 120€ of DLC down the road That said, everybody that wants to get it has a good opportunity here. Luckily, I can resist free offers like those easily. Something that seems to be the exception.
It's not BONESTORM, but it is a free game while we wait for 2 months: Lee Carvalo's Putting Challenge
Don't forget this is free TODAY! , and only for 24 hours https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/a-total-war-saga-troy/home EDIT: It's live right now!
LOL would rather pay for the Steam version than get a free version. God Valve must love folk like yourself. I am off to claim my free copy now.
