Contrarily to the majority (as it is often the case with me), wasn't a fan of RE7. Didn't "hate" it, but it was meh, had to play very short sessions for about a full year before I finally made it to the end. Then again, the last time I had fun with an RE game when it was new was RE3 (not the Remake, the original). After RE3 I skipped the whole franchise all the way until RE2 Remake. It was right after I finished RE2 Remake that I had my "RE vibe" back and went for RE7 (I initially just ignored RE7 from release all the way until I completed RE2 Remake). It took me nearly a year as mentioned, to complete it. I believe I finished it around early or maybe mid November last year, from a purchase in around February. Not because I didn't have enough time to play it more but simply because I couldn't get into it enough to play a single session for more than maybe 30 minutes. It might have been the game's setting that didn't do it for me. And characters as well (I genuinely don't remember a single character name from RE7 as I type this; not joking). I think I just have this mindset that "Resident Evil" is, or 'has to be' about Raccoon City, the same group of characters, and typical RE zombies. If I have one game (well, now two) to "blame" for spoiling it to that extent for me it's of course the original RE2. Then again, I really liked what they did with RE2 Remake but that wasn't too tough, it was Raccoon City again, the police station, Leon and Claire. It was Resident Evil. I'll keep an open mind this time. But there's a potential problem this time around. I have the feeling that there will be a timed-exclusive thing going for RE8 and the PS5. If RE8 ends up being released on PC a full year after the console version then chances are I'm going to completely pass and forget it even exists. Anyway, time will tell.
Looks like a cross between Van Helsing (European village, werewolf and the guy who actually looks like him) and RE4, but in first person mode. Sign me the eff up bros!
Boulder punching werewolf. Will be interesting to see how "Village" turns out, not too many details from the Capcom data leaks so far other than I believe a October 2021 tentative release date but it'll be fun to see how it turns out. Along with the continued adventures of Ethan ... hopefully also Joe so he and Chris can have a little friendly old man ass-kicking competition in the countryside or something.
