Got a freeze again, without HAGS active. No TDR, nothing whatsoever in Event Viewer, no crashing. Black screen as I returned to the game with alt-tab, unable to switch apps unless I created a new virtual desktop in Windows 10, where I can open Task Manager or procexp and kill the frozen Metro app. No dumps, no crash, no TDR, just full froze.

I have not tried the 451.22 driver yet, but in the vulkan beta drivers there was a problem with the wolfenstein youngblood game as soon as Vulkan 1.2 support appeared. This problem was expressed in the flickering of a black screen when something explodes. At these moments of explosions during normal operation (with a different driver), the picture should blur

Are these 1.3.38.30 or 1.3.38.28 as the .inf version is 1.3.38.28?

Is 451.22 a continuation of 450.99? can be updated?

Did anyone who took the 19640 Win10 update a few days ago notice that 450.99 had been reverted to 450.82?

I've never seen that behavior before, but 450.99 is one that I had to install manually; unlike 450.82, it was never offered via WU to me. It seems that's most likely the reason, though it's curious, especially since I used a WU package (manually downloaded) to get on 450.99.

Nice that you can reproduce this, doesn't happen with older drivers like Version:442.74 - WHQL Release Date:Thu Mar 19, 2020 - Works OK

In HDR games the bug is there also. It is there in other drivers,so I am still not sure if it is the Nvidia GPU drivers or Windows 10 Install and it does not bother me at all.

    HAGS enabled

What's interesting is how Task Manager is reporting GPU Usage...

    GPU_Usage1.png

    HWiNFO (v6.27-4190) reports differently...

    GPU_Usage2.png

My GPU usage is obviously not that high...my GPU temp wouldn't be at ~34°C if it were...more like ~60°C

Side Note: HAGS enabled, i haven't noticed any difference in performance in games, but general desktop tasks (web browsing, window management, etc) do seem a bit more snappy...although this is probably a placebo effect

Click the little down arrow with the 3D label to see what GPU use mode is being reported.
