Seems the 27GL850 panel is being reused yet again.

Neither of the two has G-Sync hardware. And therefore they're not G-Sync monitors. They have Adaptive-Sync panel and have been tested to work in G-Sync compatible mode.
Both should work with FreeSync which is AMD's implementation of Adaptive-Sync. Difference being older one has FreeSync moniker, and the newer doesn't.

@Noisiv I am not an Oracle, so I don't know if Omen has adaptive sync or G-sync electronics.
@RavenMaster : NanoIPS did not exist back then so no, it's not the same.

is why you have been given a free lesson

Adaptive Sync panel = FreeSync = Gsync Compatible ≠ G-Sync

I know very well what adaptive sync is. I am being cynical because HP missed to write that it has adaptive sync and went straight for g-sync.

    this was cynicism?
Cynicism does not propagate well over the wire. As seen above.

and wtf is witch cynicism anyway? there is/was(?) the cynical brit, the cynical guy, the cynical poet, and just yesterday I've bumped into "the cynical historian"

to me seems a fair price.
I always wanted a 1440 / 120+hz gsync compatible, but they were always more than 499+tax.

It was abou the me, the"average Joe" reading the label on the box and saying "meh, I have AMD card, I need FreeSync, not this" hence- me not being an Oracle.
    Chill man :)

    I am chill dog!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am just saying that probability of cynicism not translating well is proportional to the cleverness of its creator.

And if it does not translate, well whats the point... you might as well be plastering it on your room's wall :)

So just to give some context i loved the samsung syncmaster 233, the 22 inches 1680x1050 at 120hz. My best monitor.

Then i had a 27inch asus full hd 144hz that movement like was not as good as the samsung. Is one of the first asus labeled as 3d.

Now i want something with great color and gsync compatible that does not cost too much, can you suggest me a monitor? 1440, 120+hz 27 inches.
