What we know - Enabled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling:
Slightly reduce CPU overhead
Slightly reduce Driver overhead
Slightly reduce API overhead
Improve input lag

Did some test...
Tested some old games (Dx9 - Dx11, OpenGL) - average and min FPS definitively higher
Newer games (Dx11 - Dx12, Vulkan) - average and min FPS same or slightly higher
Basemark GPU: Vulkan - little improvement on avr and min FPS
DirectX12 - little improvement on avr and min FPS
OpenGL - huge improvement on avr and min FPS
This result on budget Pascal card... So, on high-end Pascal and newer, powerful Turing results may be different.

 

GTX1070, Windows 10 build 2004 (Release Preview Ring)
In games the drivers work good, no problem WDDM 2.7 with the GPU Schedulling enabled.
What is wrong is the detection of the gpu load in Windows resource manager, while idle.
MSI Afterburner detect it correctly, or I am thinking it its correct as the gpu is not increasing clockes no higher temps so its fine.

They now let us instal this on notebooks even my crapy mx 1102gb ddr5 is suported.

apart from this driver intended for developers, 450 will not be mainstream for a almost 2 months yet.

 

Driver faults are typically reproducible on a dime, randomized behaviors usually involve a hardware aspect.

 

But there is one thing can any of you post you control panel? Couse i instaled on my 2 pc and the notebook its showing one option more. If some of you could post some pictures in english. And thanks for the drivers.

 

They do have some issues like reported earlier. The main issue I have with this driver is that HDR is completely broken. When I open an HDR movie the screen will indeed switch to HDR mode but it looks completely washed out and bogus. And after closing the movie it won't change back until I reset the video card driver manually or reboot. I guess they will sort this out soon enough but just to be sure I'll be submitting the bug to nVidia. Same goes for playing Doom Eternal in HDR btw. After coming back to the desktop the screen and gpu will be stuck in some halfassed washed out HDR mode.

 

For me no matter what drivers i install i have the same issues with hdr. I manage to kind od override it by switching signal to other HDMI and returning to prevously while the screen is washed out
It fixing image everytime, but cmon its annoying and should be fix asap.

 

I'm rocking 445.87 now on 2004. And it works like a charm. Although the 450 drivers performed slightly better. I use HDR quite often and it's an annoying bug right now. I have a feeling the next 450.xx release will be more solid and having this bug squashed. Other than the HDR bug it performed very nicely in all my games.

 

I did find a bug however using 19041.207 and this driver on the desktop RTX 2080S. I have the run with graphics processor option on the right click although I have no iGPU (Ryzen 1700 on B450 chipset) and the default is integrated graphics.

 

450.xx its now beta and preview driver
i have 19608.1006 and 445.xx work flawlesly , 450 not for this time for me

Figured out my issue. For whatever reason after installing these drivers this key gets enabled HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\LoadAppInit_DLLs. When set back to 0 I don’t crash with these drivers anymore.

This DX12 driver is working just fine in CoD Warzone.

 

Don't even imply such a thing. Nobody cares about the new flu or unemployment numbers anymore, the stocks (especially in the tech sector) are enjoying a nice retrace and people like me need their HDMI 2.1 cards since about a year or so. You C, 'mericans will need something to play with at home while their parents are worried about the martial law.
