When my laptop is connected to a power source.games start lagging but once i remove it from the power source they seem to run fine. Kindly suggest remedies.

    Remove the battery.
Re connect the power source...and check again if the FPS drops.

UPDATING your BIOS will (might) solve the issue.

With the power source connected, keep an eye on the overall CPU usage in Task Manager while running a CPU intensive application or game. Check if it is stuck on something like 20% and whether it jumps up when you disconnect the power source. If so, the power source might be faulty.

Have you checked wisper mode (enabled when the laptop is plugged in) ? If you have it enabled in geforce experience, it will cap a games framerate to 40fps by default in the game profiles(nvcp). You will have to manually up it to 60+ in each profile.
