Its not. This is the best 580 out there, better than 580 Nitro. Im amazed how good it is, huge and its tripple slot cooler is doing its job. Its not even laud at that rpm and running at 1450mhz (can push it even more but not needed)

Da, da, Gigabyte, moja greska. :D Dobra, dobra, nema sta.
Defektni WinWin.

AS5 is probably capacitive but it's not conductive. I never had problem with it. Applied it many times on CPU and GPU (mobiles not desktop).
Anyway Grizzly Kryonaut is probably the best what you can get now.

The graphite is very interesting, but you must be sure, that the heatsink fit 100% on the chip evenly. If there will not be contact on some part of the chip, you will have problem...

I'm talking about distance between chip and heatsink :)
For imagination if you screw one side a lot and the second very lightly, the heat sink will not perfectly sit on the chip, it will be tilted...
The paste is here only to solve these small gaps. If there will be perfectly flat and fitting heatsink + chip, we don't need any thermal paste :)

AS5 is fine as long as it stays on the GPU die or the heatspreader. It's when it connects pins/traces/leads that problems can occur......

MX4, on the other hand, performs better and is neither conductive or capacitive.

I have both I use what ever I find at the time when I need it think I have Arctic Ceramique some place too, then again I dont get the stuff on anything other then where it belongs, I very ocd bout that stuff. but make perfect sense why that stuff getting on those pins traces etc would be bad, which why ocd about make sure it only where it belongs

Arctic Silver 5 is super runny, capacitive, and just an overall underperformer compared to other pastes. It's a paste of the past and should remain there.

    I have xfx xxx model
    oc1407mhz
    Temp 75-82c (division2)
    Power 150-160w
    Rpm 1800-2200

I would say better change fans for classics 12cm case fans than changing paste. Ph2.0 adapter you will need for fan mood.

What about gpu thermal pad, did you change it or did thermal pad still in good shape after your remove heatsink?

Yeah, same problem with my rx 580 pulse, after reapply gpu thermal pad 1mm, the heatsink not contact the gpu die properly, then i change to 0.5mm thermal pad, problem sloved. You also can try laird thermal pad 1mm, it can deflect to 50% from original thickness. Factory thermal pad that sapphire use for gpu is 0.75mm, but i cant find it anywhere.

I've ordered 1mm pads, but will order 0.5 it those don't work. Also, I've ordered noctua nt-h2 paste. Hope that one will do good. Changed paste on many GPU's, but never had a problem like this.
