Gona give these try, and see how they go, I only care about how my game play not how benchmark programs work, never have and never will.

If anything seem off I will go back to 441.66

In past years I made it a point to have txt file with Driver verison installed and what components and the date it install on, and what previous drivers version installed and components were install and there date so if i see those dates changed and components I know windows been doing a no no, seeing I have seen windows bypass WU al together to update gpu drivers, where WU said nothing about drivers updates but add/remove showed drivers where changed. but that was year or 2 ago that happen. since then it been habit to do this.

    Similar story for me too:

Compared to 441.20 I observed severe fps drop in 3DMark with these drivers. More specifically, in any 3DM benchmark, every 15-20 seconds the fps dropped materially for a few seconds and then came back to normal. The end score was about 30% lower than the one I usually got for years... It did not happen once; I installed, re-installed 3DM and/or the drivers using DDU etc. to repeat the issue.

I am not sure if this relates to a specific incompatibility between 3DM and these 442.59 drivers or to a general issue with these drivers (or the 442 branch). What I personally know, is that I cannot trust these drivers even if they only (?) affect 3DMark. This is not a good sign to the end-user anyway, unless something is close to perfection so that one can rely on. I reverted back to 441.20 and everything looks smooth again.

Nope. Which is why I hardly update drivers anymore. Unless it is released with new features or optimizations for games I am playing, not much point to update.

3dmark is only reliable for the review of new graphics card, it no longer matters once you own the card.

    play games.

Like your need to have synthetic numbers when dynamic content is more important.

I don't usually comment on drivers being defective. However, this set will cause a crash in Division 2 within 15 minutes. A generic 4101 driver crash with the game dropping out of FSE to windowed but inactive. Took awhile to force quit one time. This is running DX12. I reverted directly back to 442.50 with the exact same settings and not a single crash for hours.

acording to 3dmark my gpu is stable and will not crash ever.

Yet mortal kombat 11 and apex legends still crashes for me, so yes benchmark today are useless.

I've never considered benchmarks as 'stability tests'. Generally speaking, folks are trying to get the highest score. Crashing, is inherent in that process. ;) I can run most benchmarks at significantly higher clocks than I can games.
3Dmark I can touch 2112mzhz and not crash. Same with Unigine. Division 2 is only rock solid for me at 2025mhz.

Have look I can bench my Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix with 2220MHz but in games I can hardly play at such clocks, usually running 2175-2190MHz as max

Best for stability is Witcher 3 or BFV and old Crysis 3 and few other games

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Performance seems the same as 441.87 to me in Monster Hunter World: Iceborn.

EVGA 1080Ti, Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha motherboard, i7-7700k.

This is 100% true , this driver has lower performance than the early 441.xx drivers. I tested myself this , TimeSpy and Firestrike do in fact score much lower ~980 to 1000 points . I did spent 3 days testing all kind of drivers for competitive bench marking at hwbot , for best performance the driver 441.08 was the best across al 3DMark benchies including the old one like 3DMark11. RTX 2080Ti running at 2235/2050Mhz

Firestrike has its moments, i remember in the past i use to get 20200 gpu score, now last couple of 10drivers always 19600-19800..

But in reality that max 1-2fps difference.. so..

    Hi there

Yes still on Matrix BIOS, Matrix BIOS seems to be best for Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix, getting now stable clocks across all games or benchmarks and no issues, which I can't say thwt about the drivers hahaha

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Anyone else having to constantly disable and re-enable the Geforce Experience in game overlay with this driver? It just randomly stops working. Its persistent even after reboots. Never had that issue before. Also as I mentioned before, Final Fantasy XIV Online still does not work with Instant Replay and Game Filters with these drivers. I'm actually starting to suspect Square Enix is doing something at run time to intentionally disable driver features. Is this "allowed" behavior or something Nvidia can investigate?

I was getting dev error 6068 a lot trying to play warzone, turns out my primary x16 slot is either very slowly dying or has some dust on one of the pins or something, I swapped slots and it stopped crashing. If you are pulling your hair out trying to figure out why your gpu is crashing try switching the pci-e slot, just getting the word out. EDIT!!! I was wrong, it was the latest driver branch on my 980 ti maxwell gpu, windows 10 1607 will crash with dev error 6068 on latest no matter what. No crashes on 425.31 for me!

There are quite a few games that will not let you inject an overlay. Mostly those with anti-cheat methods. I can't help you with GeFarce Experience as I don't use it.
