    Hi,

    Is the AI OC reliable?

I used this just to check and it gave me a 5.0 / 5.1 OC , but the vcore is high and around 1.380

I haven't really tried to OC this CPU, so not sure I can get it to like 1.35 for example.

    Any experience with this option?

Or can I just set the cores to something and default voltage?

I tried that as well for 4.8 ghz, and the voltage bounces to 1.250

AI OC is like it gonna keep failing and failing and failing until it get the right number? How is it different from human? :D

Sounds like "AI" marketing to me to appeal to clueless customers.

Yea, but dont you think its giving more voltage than necessary? I mean, is nearly 1.350-1.380 for 5.0 / 5.1 GHz under load good?

1.35-1.4v is safe margin. Just don't push beyond 1.5v.

Also make sure it doesn't get too hot. If you want your 2600k to last a bit longer, make sure you have good cooling to keep it under 80c on max load and don't exceed 1.4v.

Oh, sorry. This is a 9600k.

Doesn't temperature sky rocket at such voltage on 9600k? If you can keep it cool, it should be fine, but better keep it under 1.35v

Yea, under gaming they peak to 65-70. I tried to OC to 4.8 GHz, and just keep the voltage on auto. Seems like it gave it between 1.250-1.280, temps are under 60c.

Any inputs here, is it safe to just change all the cores to 48 and keep the voltage at auto and call it the day?

1.250-280 vcore for 4.8 GHz, 9600k is okay?

    Temps are around 60c.

Did a IntelBurntest for 30min and it was stable. I know I can go prime95 as well, but yea.

    It's ok.

You can google OC for 9600k and get similar results.
