Can't wait to see the benchmarks, soon to be followed by Ryzen 4K foreshadowing...

When official intel benchmark will come out, more leaks around ryzen 4000 will happen, is good to get news.

I think those intel 10 generation, a cheap one, is great for my mame machine, high clocks help there more than architecture.

Unfortunately you're probably right, since launch and availability isn't always the same, although they said release 2020 still.

I suspect the 10xxx series are going to be in short supply when they release anyway.

Keeping a very close eye on these - I've been really looking forward to a chip upgrade and 2020 is the year I'm doing it no matter what.

Ideally the 10900K will come out, benchmark amazingly and it'll be a simple enough decision and I'll just buy it...however if they come out and they're a few hairs faster than 9900K then I think i'm going to try and hold out for Ryzen 4XXX - i'm looking to buy for the next 5-6 years of gaming

What on earth makes you want to switch from 9900K to 10900K? Even if you go for a 3900X or 3950X you are in better position.

Oh you misinterpreted my message - i'm not going from 9900K - but as of today the 9900K is the "current best option for gaming" that I'm using as a measuring stick.

    I have a 4770K

I should probably edit as I know people here are very sensitive about the AMD/Intel thing and really love those ryzen chips but I care about 1 thing only and that's performance in games which the 9900K still is the winner

So out of curiosity why are people looking forward to these? I am asking honestly and am not being snarky. As far as I recall these Comet Lake processors are a tweak on the prior generation and are still on 14nm. To me these really are not that interesting. When Ice Lake finally comes out then I will be very interested.

in gaming performance even your 4770k OC can beat a ryzen 3800x, honestly i thinking about i7 10700k

everyone knows Intel's 14nm+++++++++++++++++++++ is actually 7nm in disguise. Hence why they can't break into their 10nm chips at a profit. So they'll just keep stacking plus signs to make it look good.

No it can't. What's with you Intel people who just make up stuff?
4770K is stuck on Ddr3. That alone means it will never touch modern CPUs in gaming especially in minimum framerates.
And quad core vs 8core.. One means you have to shut down programs like Chrome from running in background before gaming, vs just keeping everything up.

Will they be competitive price wise is the big question.

Gaming performance. AMD still doesn't anything worthwhile for those on intels that are 6700k or better. Many are waiting for these and possibly to see what 4xxx Ryzen will bring. I am, at least.

I hope they are COVID19 virus free, and any human to machine mutations!
Is the whole production process performed by Roberts?

ps I hoped the built by Roberts joke was more widely known but the internet has scarcely a mention
It was from a comedy sketch in the UK by Alas Smith and Jones (or another show where Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones starred), around the time cars started to be produced by robots, I think Fiat were first.
There were a lot of people in a factory building cars all saying hi Bob etc.
The sketch finished saying something like "Designed by humans, built by Roberts", amusing at the time :)
    ...
    Yeah, this explains it better.
