Expreview based in Asia noticed that a new SKU based on the Radeon RX 590 is released in their region, it would be called a GME edition.... Mutiple branded Radeon RX 590 "GME" Spotted in Asia
Perhaps AMD has decided to drop the curtain on 12nm Polaris production and these are leftover units that didn't measure-up to the usual Polaris 30 tolerances? Or, perhaps these are actually 14nm Polaris "wannabe" 590 chips? Can't help but think the the "ME" portion of "GME" stands for "Mining Edition." With that in mind, at least three of the four appear to have a DVI output, along with at least one other HDMI or DisplayPort socket. It's difficult to tell from the photos. While 1460MHz isn't what one would expect to see on a typical RX 590, it's not at all shabby otherwise. Interesting that the XFX card appears to have the highest clockspeed and yet the lowest price of the four. (About $170 USD if I'm not mistaken.) As long as that "GME" moniker absolutely, positively gets tacked-on to the RX 590 branding, and they're still sporting 8GHz memory, I'd be fine with this one making it's way over to North America.
Maybe they still have some sort of deal with GF and need to sell 14nm and 12nm, or they want to keep GF in the game for some reason.
They can not help themselves ! They are addicted to Polaris rebrandations is a very serious case and it needs quarters of psychiatrical support
AMD right now are like history teachers: They can't stop to bring up the past so here you are rebrandeon...
