This is very good i never thought it outperform a desktop 2700, barely though but still faster. Amd is serious about this mobile thing.

 

Well with Intel releasing the same CPU on laptops every year is no surprise. Intel has been milking people every year with the same tech over and over with small improvements and on the laptop department, they are actually fkd because they can't go around increasing TDP with higher core counts or frequencies.

 

It must be if you look at Intel 14nm crap.

 

Now I really want DTR laptop with one of these to finally replace my current desktop. If it also would manage to stay silent under high load even better.
This CPU + Radeon Pro 5500M, I'll be happy for a while.

 

This is my next laptop CPU. I hope the ASUS G14 or G15 will be thunderbolt 3 certified.

35w chip beating 105w is something.

 

This is TDP not actual power draw. It may consume more or less.

 

Especially with intel. Its funny how 9900k is 95w, haha.

 

Its a bit misleading that text is about 45W APU, but on main picture is 15W one. Otherwise nice result.

 

My 9900k can be made to stay under 95W and is still a very good CPU for gaming then. The only time you will really see the numbers past that will be sustained 100% workloads and AVX. When gaming at 5.0Ghz on all cores I’m usually around 75-80W.

Yes that is correct if you actually read my post properly you would see that I even said it goes above it’s rated TDP. The max power draw in the review is with basically a power virus program. Most games will never stress the CPU past it’s rated TDP even at 5Ghz. I know you have an agenda to push and AMD’s checks are finally not bouncing for you but please objectively read posts you quote.

Also when Hilbert did his initial review on early BIOS’s the motherboard manufacturers were doing shady things with MCE and ignoring limiters. It’s well documented (and likely directed from Intel).
