I did read that it is coming to 2018 models too.

I'd probably try an LG model when it comes to replacing my Samsung. The Samsung software is pretty good but does have a couple of annoying features.

I have a 55" LG B9 (2019 model) so I will check later when I get home if the Apple TV app is available on the LG Store to download. I do have a small number of 4K movies so it would be nice to able to view these on my TV as opposed to my iPad 10.5 Pro (where they are limited to 1080p). I did try Ghost in the Shell via the streaming app from the TV's Home page but, obviously, having a standalone app is far more ideal.

And here we have someone being an a-hole.
You need better reading comprehension here.
Vbetts was not implying no support, but that his TVs are 2018 models, so he was to wait till a later date for support.

By reading comprehension you mean "I'l just make something up that's not implied anywhere so as to be today's white knight". Talking about being an a-hole.

I have a 55" one and I'd go bigger if mine brakes. Too bad no new TVs have passive 3D anymore. I'm lucky I got the last batch.

So...How about next time you feel the need to post something not constructive, don't.

    This is your only warning.
Correct, this is what I was implying that I would have to wait.

Oh, come on... actually receiving something that most users won't isn't sad news. Sad news is having a perfectly fine 2015-2017 WebOS TV that won't be receiving the update for who knows what reason. Been here for longer that I can remember. If you see fit banning me for pointing out something like that, it's your call.

Got mine at Walmart.com, was only $500 free shipping, home delivery. Came double boxed, I notice my LG needs to update to get this yet. but it has been updating already so.

    Works on LG C9 :)
But you have to pay for each tv show or movie...
Allo, Netflix? It's Apple TV, you win.

The app is live in Germany / Austria too, but what I found mildly irritating was that the app was installed by itself (probably because I'm trying out the auto install options instead of manual installations of app and os updates). Uninstalled it again since... I'm not interested in apple tv. TV model is 49AM90007LA.

You can't sub to their new service?
With a new apple device (ipad/iphone) you get 1 year for free.
Personally I find the content supbar compared to the bigger players in the market, but it will probably get better in time.

The only thing of interest for me right now is the AirPlay part, will be interesting to see which 2018 models that recieve it, if any of them do.
