Taking RTX out of the free version... not sure that's smart. Better show people what they'd get and try to lure them in.

Supposedly they are using their previous Pascal-based servers for the free tier - or at least want the option to, when RTX instances are being used by paying customers.

The premium tier also has 3 free months to try.

I dunno .... Most people know what RTX is ... Are probably interested to see what it looks like if they haven't already so would probably pay the extra just too see what it looks like.

Which is apparently cheaper, less laggy + allows you to use your existing steam library without the need to purchase games specifically on their platform (unlike Stadia).

I grabbed the premium option it has 90 days of "trial" after that time they gonna charge you.
So far connection quality is average at best on 100/100 fiber line, with PC in high priority in QoS, unlocked ports and 15-20ms ping, 0.0 lost frames, maybe too much people are hammering the servers or not, first impressions are bad ;)
Tested on "Balanced settings" and on manual 25-30Mb/s

The input lag latency is unreal.

It seems that if you have installed your STEAM games on an other hard disk you have to download them again to the standard location (on C:/). Too bad....

If you ignore internet server's thing, it is butter smooth gaming, odyssey, origins and witcher 3 are as fluid as you are gaming on high end rig.

Now we need origin games. I do not know if other things are missing.

Epic launcher, Steam launcher, Uplay client and Bethesda .net are all working perfectly, great free PC upgrade for all those games there. Good job Nvidia.

    what?

this doesn't use your local steam library, any games you install are installed to the gfn cloud.

Can I ask anyone who has the service,is 4K available option to play games.

EDIT: I was searching Nvidia forums and this person was in beta and a member so they say.

1080p capped at 60FPS which games barely kept to then added with stuttering / pixelation Competitive setting shows 120fps cap but only at 720p

    Home 560 down
    Office 1000 down

You can manually set it to 4K but I definitely wouldn’t do it. I tried to bump it to 2k and man it wasn’t even playable with a 1 gb internet connection hardliners in. :(

You are installing the game on a virtual PC , not your own. so where does not matter, it is instant as well.

    Metro Exodus ?

4k is not supported at all.
when i tried it yesterday metro exodus among other games, it was better then all the other stream services tbh , not input lagg free, but we need faster connections for that.
I had 22mb download constant. zero lagg for me.

available but rtx features/dx12 are available on the paid subscription only.

RDR2 is not available as rockstar have a deal with google for the dead on arrival stadia
